Is there any way have some code that rights a value to the Slow Jog % DRO? I have an up and down button that incrementally sets the value...would like a single button set it to , lets say 90%...another button set it to 5%...

Thanks in Advance

Thanks Joe...yeah, did the calcs on the z-screw...actually wired up the touch probe and did a test cut of just a few vCarved letters, all is well!

the xBox controller is freaking awesome!!! I spent an hour just jogging the machine around with the xBox joysticks!!

Yes! Leadscrew on the Z...

I just tonite changed from the TinyG controller to Mach3...I am loving it, playing with the X,Y, and X, have not cut anything yet...next step is to hook up my touch plate...then tomorrow, the limits, and I should be good to go!

Please don't yell at me!  ;D ;D

I have looked at 30 or more posts on steps per inch, just when I think I've got , I am confused again!

1.8deg motors is 200 steps/rev...microstepping makes this 2000 steps/rev.

3mm belt and 20t pulley = .11811 inches (3mm) per tooth * 20 teeth = 2.362inches/rev

2000 microsteps / 2.362 = 846.74 pulses/inch

Do I have it right..

Thanks...

Thanks John! I loaded an older version (2008) of directX and it started working!

Hmmm...had the same direct X version as the laptop, but downloaded and ran the directx install...fixed me right up! All is well

Installed net framework ver 4, no help...I have the same net framework on both machines

Just ran the joy.cpl local test, window recognizes the controller and all buttons/axis work...

Found the test program (joy.cpl), works good there, all buttons and axis active, still getting the defective dll error
