General Mach Discussion / Mach 3 or Mach ?
« on: November 01, 2015, 12:30:29 PM »
Hi
I am brand new to Cnc only started using my Cnc in September so am very green and very new.

My questions is would it make any sense upgrading to Mach 4 before i get used to Mach 3 ?
Would it be easier for me to learn Mach 4 from the start and is it any easier to use than Mach 3 ?

I paid for and got 3 hours training with my new cnc but to be honest he succeeded in making me quite
Nervous about using or touching any but the basic essential settings in Mach3.
I am learning my Vectric software by having plenty of practice and i am Quite pleased by how well i am
Learning the software, but as i said above i am pretty scared to explore or make any adjustments in Mach 3.
Any advice would be appreciated .
Thank you in advance

General Mach Discussion / Hi Newbie question
« on: October 30, 2015, 06:02:21 AM »
Hi
I am Gary from the Uk i was a Firefighter but i have just been forced to retire after 23 years due to ill health.
I am brand new to Cnc but love it so far.
Please forgive me if my question is very basic but up to now i am still pretty unconfident in using more settings in Mach 3 than i need to.

My question is in When using mach 3 is there a way that i can pause my job during the cutting process shut down Mach 3 and my pc restart the following day and carry on my cnc cutting from the point i stopped it ?

For expample if i was going to cut a job that takes many hours to finish i may need to do this.
Thank you in advance and please forgive me if i have posted in the wrong section ect as i have only just registered with this forum.
