HI Guys,
Sorry about not answering sooner. I used your modified .lset and it is working just fine, thanks so much.
I also just renamed a mill.set to mill.lset and it works good also
Thanks for helping out as you always do...

General Mach Discussion / Feedrate Overides in Lathe

I can't seem to get the feedrates to overide, plus or minus, in Mach 3 Lathe (Version R3.042.020) while machine is cutting. I searched here and
messed with OEM codes and Gen config stuff as suggested but no luck?

Thanks Hood!

I changed the Safe Z to 1 inch and it fixed it!

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 R3.042.020

I tried the new lockdown version of Mach3,  R3.042.020,  and found that it will not allow a correct Z start for the "Run From Here"
Option. It goes to the correct X and Y and then the Z moves into the positive direction until it reaches the Z+ limit. It seems to ignore the Z data in the program?  Does any one else have this happen? I switched back to Mach 2.********* and ran my parts?

Test concurred. You guys are the best. Mach 3 secrets are fading fast!

The box was checked.
I don't see a "pulses per". In the motor tuning box, it has "steps per" but that is the number of steps per inch. I don't think the step pulse and dir pulse values in the motor tuning boxes are relevant with Geckos (10us).   I'm actually not hooked it up on machine yet, but I'm trying understand the setup for degrees per step.
2000steps/360 degrees = 5.55555555... degrees per step? I will test and see?

General Mach Discussion / Motor tuning 4th axis

After searching the message board,  I still can not find info on how to tell my 4th (A) axis motor to move steps per revolution instead of steps per inch. Does the motor tuning window have a place to do this? I am trying to make a small camshaft. Can anyone help?

General Mach Discussion / Re: New Computer w/ no parallel port
« on: September 20, 2007, 06:25:15 PM »
Thanks guys,

Great news...I recieved the PCI Multi I/O card from Rogers and stuck it in the Dell 531 and installed the software(Net Mos) on the CD that came with it
and it is running a my Bridgeport with 1800 oz motors with Mach 3 and communicating perfectly.  I changed the resources hex number in
Mach 3 to what it assigned itself in Windows XP (9C00). The brand they sent was "For BEST Ports Connection" I did not check the voltage, but it is not missing steps which is usually the problem with the 3.3 volt output parallel ports. It must be 5 volts output, but I'll check with seller..

Thanks again guys

Thanks for all of the help. I ordered the card from Rogers and as soon as I get it I will install and let you guys know. I searched the
FAQ database at Dell and I may have to make some changes in the Bios. We shall see...
Thanks Danny
