look here

two mins work

Ok

I have just knocked up a test part

Like a pipe with a flange at each end and a flat lump on the side eg steam cylinder for a beam engine

Axis left end of bed along the x axis
Using that cps I posted it generated code correctly no errors

Z was modelled up from the centre of rotation with x poking out the centre in the normal direction for that axis

The WCS warning was it is looking for a 1 for g54 in the cam setup

So I am afraid you have me stumped, but I will keep my brain cell working ,it’s 73 years old now so a bit slow

Stay safe and well

Try deleting the machine config from the cam setup

I have had some funny errors using it for 3 axis work , it took a lot of thinking, changing Setting to get it to play nicely

It’s not really needed ,but nice to have when it works save any bo bo,s

don't shoot the messenger but

here is my mach4 fusion post that works with A along X. I have cut helixes ect with is post but make sure you have Z at the centre of rotation

yes I know its a mach4 PP but they are both based on FANUC same branch

only caveat it outputs a .nc file not tap but mach3 can still read it

in mdi try
G1 G20 x50 a90 f50
that should give you a combined x and a just set z to a safe number

95
Go and search on the fusion 360 manufacturing forum

Please read

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/hsm-post-processor-forum/how-to-set-up-a-4-5-axis-machine-configuration/td-p/6488176

This explains it in detail inc the direction along x or y and WHY

I am lost with this one

Rob

It will not work with my monitor a ASUS el chepo touch screen

Please do not take this the wrong way it a bit to in your face for my old eyes on there 73 trip round the big ball

Others will love it though

It locked up my controller, hard lock nothing no keyboard had to pull the power

Maybe I am stuck in a rut I like the old industrial screen suits me fine

System

Mach 4 4470 ESS 256 windoze 10 fully locked down no sleep/power off no WiFi no internet on my controller

Note I have a pendant for jogging but sometimes a prod of the screen to jog would be good .the rodent is not plugged in

Looking forward to see what transpires down the road

Stuart from the locked down for some UK

I will vote for that to

At least a statement as to the best one to use as Warp9 plugin complains if you use a older release and points you to the ftp site

I am very interested in how you have implemented the jog buttons on a touch screen I have tried and failed only get inc to work

It’s a bit messy but very basic but it suits my needs it’s a bit of this and that but based on the old industrial screen which I like because you can integrate the fixture and tool offset page into it and not have pop ups which I hate with a passion
Before anyone asks yes I have a valid industrial licence hence why the screen editor allows the embedding in a tabbed box
You know what I mean Brian

Although I am very interested in what you have to offer

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Mach4, Darwin and Ref all home issue
« on: May 19, 2020, 06:19:28 AM »
I think you have answered your own question “no home/limits connected or set up”
How can it home if it does not know where home is . It’s homing in place because it’s lost
