The external pull-up on v1.2 boards is not required.

Are you able to replicate the issue with probing? We are testing it now and can't make it fail.

Also, are you using the touchoff module in the latest mach4 dev build available here ? (http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php/topic,27039.msg227697.html#msg227697)

I have tried that module and I find it very iffy my be the way I use it but its not intuitive and has been changed in the beta 3116 it smashed a hamier tip I use in my home made probe , yes its beta for a good reason , caveat emptor

Glad its just not me

I have played with it some more I can now get it to measure the TLO OK ish

Burt one serious draw back is that if you use it with before you run some gcode it leave the FXX set for a probe and will not do a G0 in the program

Help

I have a ESS /c25 setup and the latest ESS plugin ver 186

This is with Mach ver 3116

Ok the problem is that I cannot resolve the operation of the z only lower right hand corner of the module

I load up a tool (wooden 3 mm dowel cheaper that Em or probe tips ) my toolsetter is a swith type and is 23 mm high

So I jog down to a suitable distance to probe from set Z zero in work coords , then let the touch rip it probes ok but the DRO for Z is -137mm Machine coords read 107.xx at this time

I would have expected a + of about 23  so a G0 Z0 MDI would have made the tip to be at Work 0


I must be doing something wrong , but the fine centre circle seems a bit iffy

The normal probing screen also misbehaves with routines getting to the end probe and failing with no probe contact

Thought it may be so

Pity they do not save its state in the profile , but again there may be reasons I do not know about

Btw long time Mach3 user but due to the Chinese motion controller playing silly whats its I have converted the mill to mach4 and ESS with a C25

I may be talking rubbish here as I am not up to speed with LUA but could the default state of the button be changed from its off state to on ( maybe a true/false thing or a 0 1 )

Same here a new virgin install of the pre release Mach4 and the 185 ESS working fine here on windows 10 Pro

Reading back through the posts above it looks like its a problem with the sim plugin which I have not tried so I cannot comment

FYI this is a new controls fit consisting of a ESS and C25 because the ( Leafboy card was doing some funny things )
