Mach4 General Discussion / Update screens in mach4

Ok a simple question when to update a screen set
I have made a considerable amount of mods to the current screen set ( yes it has a different name to the default wx4 ) so it does not get overwritten on a system update
Maybe it's just the screen load script or is it altered at a deeper level

Now for the question in detail as mach4 progresses is the default wx4 screen altered for more/better functionality ?
It would help us the users if a note could be posted when the screen is updated  i.e. A change log for each public release please

I notice that only a few files are update with each release could a update patch be considered instead of a full blown install

so its not a rotating cutter

then make up a cutter in fusion that has 0 spindle speed that may do it


please provide as much info in your question I miss understood and thought it was a milling cutter you were using

Check the setting in Mach config tools it should tool on t6 line is tool in use not the default

Why not just download fusion360 it's free for a startup/hobbyist

And draw up your part cam it and set it to do mutiple step downs utilities the part is done

If you have multiple ops in your code e.g. A adaptive roughing run the a Finnish contour both useing the same tool it save the mill going to G28 for a tool change

Works fine when dl with a Mac that what I do as the windoze -can is not and never will be on the www

Just make sure yo format your flash drive on the PC or it you do it on the Mac do it as a FAT32

Use the same flash drive to get the tap/no files from the Mac to the Mach3/4 PC.

I to use fusion360 the pp in the post web page for m4 is not complete for 4 axis search the post processor section for how to edit it then store it in username/autodesk/posts and select personal posts in f360

Take care and have fun air cutting to prove the post

Are you using the sim or a motion controller

FYI the G31.x is done in the motion controller not in mach4 , therefore if you use the sim plugin it wil not work

I was brought up on C++  but Lua has me scraping the noggin ( well it is 70 years old ) then on to a sub set of C++ used in BAS ( Building Automated Systems ) for computer centre HVAC

it not the Lua that has me troubled, its were the code goes and the interaction with the screen load and the PLC
