Mach4 General Discussion / Where did 3468 and 3474 go to

They wher both on the public dl page and 3468 is referred to in the release notes but they seem to have been replaced by an earlier version

As the where on the download page are they ok to use or do we have to revert?

If they have a problem then why not put a note up to that effect


Just to be sure we are singing from the same hymn sheet I am not referring to the ones one the ftp site

Ok a simple question when to update a screen set
I have made a considerable amount of mods to the current screen set ( yes it has a different name to the default wx4 ) so it does not get overwritten on a system update
Maybe it's just the screen load script or is it altered at a deeper level

Now for the question in detail as mach4 progresses is the default wx4 screen altered for more/better functionality ?
It would help us the users if a note could be posted when the screen is updated  i.e. A change log for each public release please

I notice that only a few files are update with each release could a update patch be considered instead of a full blown install

can you update the manual to select all the changes , e.g. what in the blue blazers is the tools tab in config for.

there are now a lot of undocumented features now so pretty please can you update it for us users

Mach4 General Discussion / how do i mod the m6 script to issue a m5

as above

my setup does all the correct things for a tool change box comes up ( i have not cancelled this yet ) led flashes with request to press cycle start

OK it all works H offset is correctly applied

what line of script do i put into the Lua m6 command to stop the spindle to allow the tool change


i get round this by stopping the spindle with the button on the right

Mach4 General Discussion / New touch module in the pre release

Help

I have a ESS /c25 setup and the latest ESS plugin ver 186

This is with Mach ver 3116

Ok the problem is that I cannot resolve the operation of the z only lower right hand corner of the module

I load up a tool (wooden 3 mm dowel cheaper that Em or probe tips ) my toolsetter is a swith type and is 23 mm high

So I jog down to a suitable distance to probe from set Z zero in work coords , then let the touch rip it probes ok but the DRO for Z is -137mm Machine coords read 107.xx at this time

I would have expected a + of about 23  so a G0 Z0 MDI would have made the tip to be at Work 0


I must be doing something wrong , but the fine centre circle seems a bit iffy

The normal probing screen also misbehaves with routines getting to the end probe and failing with no probe contact

Sorry for a dumb question but how do I save the configuration when I have it set up

In Mach3 I store the xml file off the pc , what do I need to save in Mach4
