Yes! The Limits should stop the axis moving in this direction, but should be movable wihout reset and the Override Buttons in the other direction.

Exactly, each Axis has it own Input for Limit+, Limit- and Home.
The E-Stop Limits are connected in series and then to the Pilz Module.

General Mach Discussion / How to disable E-Stop on Limit
« on: March 19, 2016, 10:41:01 AM »
Hello!

I have retrofitted an early 80's 18kW CNC Lathe with Mach3, Panasonic Servos and CSMIO.
I have got nearly everything working, but i have the following issue:

My Lathe has got professional "Euchner" Limit+, Limit-, E-Stop and Home Switches.
That means, when the Machine is on the Limit it does not have to trigger the E-Stop, because the E-Stop button is a few Millimetres later.
(And the E-Stop is connected to the Pilz Safety Module, so its really safe)

I want to use the "hard" Limits because eg. before Ref. drive the Soft Limits are in the wrong place.

Is there an Option without Brains and Macros?

FAQs / MPG is not recognised
« on: June 08, 2015, 04:06:20 PM »
Hello Guys :)
I am new here. D:

I have retrofitted a 18kW Lathe from the 80's with CSMIO/IP-A and Mach3.
I was able to solve the most problems, but the MPG is making me nervous. :o

The encoder in the MPG is connected to the CSMIO Board and gives a nice signal out (Attachment).
I am also able to read the signal in Mach3 out.

For testing I configured the two Pins on the B and C homing input and in the diagnostic screen I can see the same action like in the attachment

I have configured the MPG in Port's and Pin's on Port 10 and Pin 12+13
On the CSMIO Board its on the Pins 12+13 (with zero counted)

When I switch on the MPG mode (and select the axis) and turn the MPG the LED's on the Board are lighting..
But nothing moves.

If I go to the MPG calibration wizzard and I klick e.g. on "Call Detent Size" and turn the MPG one step nothing happens. When I click calculate it calculates 0.

I hope anyone can help me.

Yours Burkhard
