Have you reloaded Mach3?  I had the same problem on my machine a couple of years ago.  No matter what changes I made it would run past the limit switches and crash when homing.  Reloaded Mach3 and the problem went away.

I'm only suggesting that reloading Mach may cure your problem.  It did for me.  Version .066 has some issues and many others have suggested V.062 is a better option.

What version of Mach are you using?  When I initially set up my machine I used .066.  Every time I attempted to home the axis would blow through the limits and crash the machine.  Finally reloaded Mach and everything worked as it should.

Had the same problem where when I selected Ref All the each axis would blast through the home switch and kept on going.  Had to hit the e-stop to keep the machine from destroying itself.  After spending literally days trying to sort this out I reloaded Mach and the problem went away.  Hopefully this will work for you.

I'm using a Porter Cable 691 (1-3/4 HP) and SuperPID with no problems.  Could be your RPM sensor/pick up needs to be adjusted.  I found that if not adjusted properly RPM will jump around or not run at all.

Hope this helps.

I had the same problem with the initial loading of Mach 3.  Tried for weeks trying to get the home switches to work.  Without having anything to lose I uninstalled Mach and reloaded it.  The home switches now work as they should.

General Mach Discussion / Jog Functions Stops Working
« on: June 22, 2015, 12:33:39 AM »
Hi!  I'm new to CNC and this forum.  Been involved with manual machining my entire career (40+ years) but CNC has proven to be a new, and exciting, challenge.  Now to my question.  Why does the jog function randomly stop working?  Pressing the Regen Toolpath, Rewind, Reset, and the Jog On/Off buttons sometimes gets jogging to work.  There doesn't appear to be a particular button that gets the jog function back.  Sometimes I have to restart Mach, or the computer.  Could this be a noise issue or a configuration/setup problem.

Thanks
