General Mach Discussion / making Cont. Jog as default?
« on: May 23, 2013, 12:18:51 AM »
How can i make the change Continuous Jog as defalt; I have made to many crashes when I change from cont. to step jog mode & back -n-forth.....I'll forget to switch back to Cont. jog ,,,& when I do jog the amount I want, & I let off the button it keeps moving, I'll quickly try to hit esc key.. frustrated that I'm in the step mode.....  OK heres what I want to do,  when I do want to use the the Step Jog mode,  once it has made its move, I want Mach to automatically switch to the Continuous Jog mode..(I want to make it the default)     I have broken to many bits because of this.... Your help is very appreciated

General Mach Discussion / Re: Need Help on indexing for router
« on: July 19, 2012, 09:12:46 PM »
I separated the oval file in 1/2 vertically, made 2 separate programs, I secured the 4'x10' alum. sheet @ the left edge of router table, zeroed X&Y,  I cut the left 1/2 program,  I scribed 24" on the material
moved it to the left till 24" lined up on the right edge of the table, re secure material & aligned bit where it left off, zeroed X&Y , started the right 1/2 program , & it routed good , no errors.....
I'm sure there is a better way of doing this , but job is completed...... thanks for all the help  , thankyou Mach3...........signguy

« on: July 17, 2012, 11:16:30 PM »
What do I need to do so I can route longer materials on my router? My router table is 48" x 96".  the ends are open for what ever lengths of material.
How do I program Mach to restart the routing where it left off ?  I have a 10' sheet of aluminum to route a large oval , I will route the 8' of it. index it,
move the material over & resecure it .  This is where it is confusing to me on how to restart mach whereit left off,  your help needed , thanks   signguy

Hello. everyone...Ive been in the sign bus.  for 30 years now...specializing outdoor illuminated signs,,,especially Neon signs, they are the best looking eye attraction.....I bought a router about a year ago , haven't been able to git it operating correctly....it has slo-syn  2000 drives,,,Superior elec. steppers...
The program that came with it is HPGL that takes my design from Corel draw & tells the LPT program then sends signals to the drives..  All I have accomplished is straight line cuts it does not interpet fonts correctly WARNING! please don't fall for this ...the wiring is direct from 3 parallel ports. There is a HAM (hardware assist module)connected to the motherboard port(378) joystick connected to the back of the HAM.  I have been worrying with this too long
I am so glad that I have run across this website that is so informational ... Yes I need your help to get this router up & running.... who can tell me where to
buy the "isolated breakout boards" & your comments about the drives & steppers I have ,,,,will they work  with Mach???
