I dont know much about the shuttle setup, what tells mach4 the axis - is it through the shuttle config or mach inputs config?? (perhaps I buy one)

Is there a way I can show what axis is selected for Jogging on a button? I would like to put a background behind the active axis DRO box if it is the one selected for jogging.

Thanks,
Peter

Didnt spot this thread,

Can you post a bit more info? where is the signal coming from to say what axis you are on.

Mach4 General Discussion / mcX360 Mach4 Controller Plugin
« on: November 01, 2015, 03:17:19 PM »
*** Can we please keep this one on topic - Although actually making this plugin for myself I would like to share it to the community so all comments welcome ***

I have recompiled the plugin to a release version and have tested it on win7 and win8 in mach4 v`s 2686 - 2763  will test xp asap but it should work as i have used xinput 9 which is compatible with xp.

You will of needed to have setup an xbox controller beforehand and the installer would of already installed the xinput lib required, although win7 and win8 come with it pre-installed, its compiled in studio 2013 so shouldnt need any other files to run.

X and Y are assigned to the DPad and Z assigned to R_thumbstick,

Button B is assigned to EStop

I have spent the whole day rewritting the xinput class I initially had which was for just xbox controllers, the new code allows for the setting up of other pc controllers too.  so theres a long way to go, when jogging there is *NO* incremental jog, just continuous as I still havnt decided on how I want to do the options etc, and its just a test,

Enjoy (I Hope)

Yep I know now, it because you haven't got the xinput lib that's required. I will address this when back home.

The tough book I use at work is got an Xp coa on bottom however I installed win7 tablet on it and runs a lot better.??

My main computer is a dell optilex from eBay £90 with the software win7 pro so I can't see why hobbiests don't want to move on, I think software can be developed a lot easier if safety nets for older machines don't have to be implemented.

Just my view.

I am away again till tomorrow night so was a bit of a rush just to put the barebones up, the xinput library used is supposed to cater for all flavours of windows.

I have an old xp machine that I will test over Sunday and sort out exactly what directs is needed, already got message of not working.

The xinput used is 9.1.0
