I have a relay that supplies the mains power to the psu that supplies my drivers/steppers, so whether I am testing the gui or running the machine I just press a toggle button onscreen.

Daz, define what you mean by "setup the mpg in the mach config". I have the *********tlePro plugin enabled. But, I do see MPG0 through 9 (or so) in the Mach config. Is that what you're referring to?

Yes that is what I mean ;-) - have tried it with 3155 and all is good......

May be a dumb question, but have you setup the mpg in the mach config?

From the Mach4 config have a look in the inputs tab to see if any of the assignments are set as active low.

From the NF site

*Annual and Lifetime License Creation Limits

Non-commercial users (aka hobbyists) are permitted to use one Mach purchase for multiple machines. For commercial users (anybody who uses the software to generate profit), we require a separate license purchase for each machine.

Here is a very quick way of doing the X Axis (Motor 0) you will have to do same with all other motors.

The only  difference in the ESS plugins 184 and 186 is that 186 has the PROBE enabled where as 184 didnt, and if i recall homing was added in 185, you have to remember when downgrading a plugin this could be bad as there might be a new way of doing things within the core and the old plugin may not have this implemented.

If you can explain what is different would help, if you follow the instructions Andy from Warp9 made in the link you cant go wrong.

The Plugin is still classed as in Beta, A complete new set of videos is in the pipeline but not until its made official.

All the basic information you need to setup the config for the ESS can be found at http://www.warp9td.com/index.php/gettingstarted/setting-up-the-smoothstepper-and-mach4#MachFourInitialESS_NEW_PLUGIN
