General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 Windows 10 update -- don't do it
« on: October 05, 2019, 03:55:05 PM »
Yet another Microsoft update causing problems with Mach3 (don't have Mach4).
Update KB4524147 caused my Mach3 to show errors with Plugin DLLs stating they were corrupt and needed to be reloaded. Nothing worked.
I uninstalled the KB4524147 update and all is well....

Is there any message displayed in the status bar ?
Are your limits all wired NC ?
Are you sure that an axis is not sitting on a limit ?

Well here's a weird one. I run Screenset 2010 instead of the standard Mach3 Screen (have for years). In an effort to answer your questions I Loaded the default Mach3 Screen, when it came up a pressed the Reset button and BINGO it worked. So now I'm thinking I have a corrupt Screenset 2010 screen file. Just for grins I reloaded the Screenset 2010 file and it's working fine!
I have no idea what the heck happened, but I'm up and running.

To answer your questions, yes I checked all the limit switches and non of them were active, if I pressed one of the limit switches the Diagnostic lights come on.

Anyway thanks for the help and suggestions. I'm off to make something.

I've had my CNC (running Mach3) for a couple of weeks (been traveling). All was fine the last time I used it.
Today I cranked it up, everything started as normal, but when I click on the reset button nothing happens. I'm not showing any abnormal light on the diagnostic page, when I press an EStop switch the Emergency light comes on and turns off when I reset the switch. I've also tested the limit switches, but no luck. I even ran Mach3 with a saved copy of the setting file just in case it got corrupted some how, but no joy.
I'm out of things to try HELP!!!!

No, I did have to admit it. If others can learn from my stupid mistakes then we all benefit. I've learned from other people's stupid mistakes, it's only fair....

OK, I'm feeling really stupid right about now, after a lot of time trouble shooting this problem. When I hit the Emergency Stop and messed around on the keyboard I toggled the "Jog Shuttle On/Off" to OFF! Works much better now!!! :-[

General Mach Discussion / No Axis control on keyboard!
« on: January 15, 2016, 07:17:29 PM »
This one is strange, I need help!

I'm running Mach3 on a windows 10 computer. I've been running code all day with no problems, on the last project while running the first cut the two pieces of material I was cutting started to de-laminate (I didn't let the glue dry long enough). I hit the emergency stop switch to stop the run. I reset the emergency stop and now I have no keyboard control of the X,Y or Z axis on the keyboard or my CNC 4 axis USB remote control. If I pull up the jog shuttle in Mach3 (tab key) I can use the mouse and click on the axis + - buttons and the axis will move so I know I have motor control.

I've tried turning off the controller and computer and restarting, but no luck. I even tried installing a backup of the Mach3 configuration file, but again no success.

I'm at a loss on this one.
