RT,
Just curious, what bugs are there?  They seem to work well for us.
I wonder, if they aren't going to update them, if Mach Motion would release the source code so we (end users) can tweak them to fit specific needs.

Rob,
With Mach3 I made a bunch of conversational buttons.  Lol. With Mach4 I asked our lathe department lead to let me know what he thought about them.   He loves them. It blows what I made out of the water.   On some of our longer products, he uses the wizard vs writing the program with our version of "post processor".

We've got the HiCON on 2 lathes right now.   Motion is excellent and threading works great.   It is encoder threading but it is pretty flawless.

No problem!  Glad you got it working!

Lesspaul,
I like your solution, simple and to the point.
It is similar to what my Dad did when we were using Mach3 on some equipment.
He would disable the Cycle Start Button until the machine was homed; it would check for machine reference and send up a message box if it was not homed.

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: work zero in mach 4

For each project you have to set your Work Coordinates Or Work Offset.
When you clamp your work piece in a vise or on the table, the machine (Mach) has no idea where that is; therefore you have to tell it where the Work Zero is for the Work Piece.
CAM will ask where you want the starting point; it can be in a corner, the center, or etc... wherever you decide X, Y, Z Zero will be in CAM is where you need to set X, Y, Z Zero on the machine.

Gonna comment on this so I can be sure to follow this thread.
I've got something at work that may be okay but I'll have to check tomorrow.

What version are you running?  I had this problem several versions back and had to use a different version of the keyboard plugin to fix the issue.
Version 3805 all increment moves are working just fine for me right now.

We've got a few lathes running Mach4 with the HiCON Integra.
I've got an encoder hooked to the spindle to give us a true RPM and that allows us to thread just fine and we are able to us CSS.
Tool changer hooked up on one of the turning centers no problem and work offsets are consistent.

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Mach4 problems when moving.

I'm just throwing this out there.
A lot of machine tools only have a "cycle start" and a "feed hold" button, no cycle stop button, on our Johnfords for example, it has a Green Button that is Cycle Start and a Red Button that is Feed Hold and if it is pressed a second time then it acts a Cycle Stop.  The "Cycle Stop" occurs after "Reset" is pressed on other machine tools.
If you want a faster Stop of Motion after Feed Hold you will need to tune your motors to handle the rapid deceleration.
