« on: April 28, 2015, 11:27:48 AM »
I bought this auto z touch plate

http://www.cncrouterparts.com/auto-z-touch-plate-instructions-p-291.html

I am not too familiar with the electronics so i am not sure how to hook it up. I am attaching a few pics of inside my electronics cabinet and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance

General Mach Discussion / Backlash Settings?
« on: January 02, 2015, 09:30:45 AM »
I am not 100% sure that this is what it is but it is what I am thinking. Here is what is happening. I have an Industrial CNC A404 running mach 3. I do not have an auto tool changer. I cut my parts using a 3/8 bit and then I change to my 1/8 bit to drill holes and run the new file. Every time I do that my Y axis seems to be off about 1/8- 3/16. It is almost like after it cuts everything it doesn't come back to the exact same spot I started at so it ends up starting from a slightly different point. This is resulting in holes being drilled in the rong spot. The X axis seems fine though. It is only the Y. I have used a dial indicator and calibrated the machine with the steps per inch. It was pretty much dead on. The machine is about 6 months old and I have had this problem pretty much from day 1. Any suggestions.

General Mach Discussion / Please Help!!
« on: August 09, 2014, 06:50:56 PM »
Hey guys I really need help. I have been at this for 6 days now with no luck. I have a brand new 4 X 4 cnc router. I am getting chatter on my cuts and I can't seem to solve the problem. I am not sure if it is settings in mach 3 or if it is something with the machine. I am cutting 1/2 inch HDPE. I am using the manufacturers recommended bit, and I have used the g wizard feed and speed calculator to determine bit deflection with still no luck. I am losing so much money and need to get this machine up and running. The manufacturer hasn't been much help. They have had me do a bunch of stuff over the phone which hasn't fixed th problem and they are saying the machine might have to be sent back which isn't an option. I am attaching my XML. Any help would be appreciated.
