Thanks

Hi Shaun,
Yeah everything extracted and launches fine but I get an script error when I launch an objects properties.
So when I went to look at the file structure I noticed that the .exe file appears to be a damaged file (see image in first post).
So I tryed to download it another time, same problem. Then I tryed again on another PC, same results.

Oh but wait, I see in your note that the files need to be located in the Mach folder. I  created a separate "Screen4" folder.
I'll check it out.
Thanks
Evan

General Mach Discussion / Screen4 error
« on: April 21, 2006, 02:33:17 AM »
Hi all,

I downloaded Screen4, and tryed it but it appeared to be corrupted. So I captured the Icon for view.
It doesn't look right. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi Brian,

I see whats going on, the labels are misleading to me. See attachment.

I think a climb cut for a pocket is CCW
conventional cut for a pocket is CW

You are correct that the code produced corresponds with label inside of parenthesis. Just not the direction noted.
Again, I realize I'm probably not the first to see this so sorry for the repeat.

Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / Mach2 Circular pocket question
« on: April 20, 2006, 04:51:47 PM »
Hi all,

I'm sure I'm a little late in this game but I noticed that the CW & CCW buttons are
in reverse in the wizzard for the Mach2 Circ pocket.

Is there a way for me to modify these? Or is it best to just post the problem?

General Mach Discussion / Post processors
« on: April 19, 2006, 12:54:32 AM »
Hi all,

Can someone set me straight? I think I'm missing something. Where is the info regarding a post processor.
Is there one needed? I don't see any reference to posts in the Mach2.611 pdf.
I also don't see any posts in the Mach folder.
There is almost no querries here in this forrum except a couple of folks asking for the same thing.

What am I missing??

I don't have a Mach2 post in my Mastecam disk, or in my BobCAD disk.
Where are they coming from? ???

Thanks in advance

Evan

Works in progress / Re: An unfinished screen set - "Mach Blue"
« on: April 18, 2006, 02:42:38 AM »
Hey guys,

Pretty cool screens, some a little more colorful than others.
I have something to suggest, something I also mentioned to Benny in his screen post.

As a test for how the GUI actually works with a user try squinting your eyes while pulling a little farther away
from the monitor. Ask yourself if there is enough clearity and contrast between the data and the underlying graphics.

The reason neutral gray works so well and is found in so many GUI's is that ANY color is pretty visable against it without
conflicting (either in contrast or in compliment). A compliment conflict example is to put red text over green backgound.
when looking at it the two colors combined makes a kind of neutral mud color.

I'm not suggesting that you're breaking these rules, just thought you may consider the affect of certain colors and their effect on the user.

Nice work,

I think its a very clean look. I especially like the little tiny highlights on the glass buttons. It shows a serious attention to detail.
I hope you realize that we appreciate the hard work you must have put into this, considering you'll never satisfy everyone.
I think for you to present it at all for our consideration is a sign of respect and confidence in what you're doing.

Thanks again
