I am having trouble getting the C11 BOB, Huanyang 2.2kw inverter and spindle to communicate with Mach 3 screen (RPM).  I can turn the spindle on and off and can control the speed with the inverter but it will not display the rpm of the spindle in mach.  If you touch the + or - buttons for spindle speed in Mach  it will display rpm for a brief moment ( the length of time the button is depressed)  Can anyone help?

General Mach Discussion / Additional Spindle control
« on: December 15, 2014, 01:13:57 PM »
I have set up my spindle control in mach 3 and I can turn it on and off by pushing the spindle button on the Mach 3 screen.  I would also like to add another safety control to the spindle via a selector switch connected to a input.  This switch would lock out the spindle control.  I have assigned it to an input but don't know how to program it to disable the spindle output.  Can anyone help me out?

General Mach Discussion / Soft limit and homing Problem
« on: December 09, 2014, 08:57:42 AM »
I am having a problem with Homing.  When the machine hits the homing limits it will not back off the limits.  If I hit the reference home button it homes again and moves closer to the table limits.  It appears that it is backing off in the wrong direction.  Nay suggestions

General Mach Discussion / Slaving an axis trouble
« on: December 03, 2014, 07:24:32 PM »
I  am having trouble slaving the x-axis to the a-axis.  Went to config/slave axis/x-axis and checked the slaved a-axis slot.  restarted the program and it will not slave.  in fact i tried every combination and nothing (Slaved x to a, y to a z to a).  I did notice that the Zero4 - DRO does not move when the axis was programed to slave .  when i do not slave the a-axis the dRO moves and so does the motor.  So the motor and driver are good.  Yes i have one of those chinese XHC-MK6 motion controllers that stipulate that it is Mach 3 capatiable.  Any suggestions, does anyone know where i can get support from the XHC-Mk6 motion controller?

General Mach Discussion / Slaving x and A axis issues
« on: November 25, 2014, 08:44:07 AM »
I have a large DIY CNC router (5' x 10')  and want to slave X and A axis.  I have two questions?   (1) Do I have to have two homing switches for the X and A  or can I use one.  I don't want to rack my gantry.  Spent three days getting the linear bearings parallel within .001 over 10 feet. .   (2) The X axis is a rack and pinion so one motor will turn clockwise and the other counter clock.  How do I program this in Mach 3.

General Mach Discussion / Need help with spindle relay
« on: March 31, 2014, 10:20:35 PM »
Having a problem getting the spindle relay to turn on.  It's not a software issue,.  Mach3 will turn the spindle signal on and off on output 1, pin 2.  The problem is the breakout board will not hold 5 volts to trigger the electronic relay.  Without the relay connected it goes high to 5 volts.  With the relay connected the voltage drops to 2 volts and the electronic relay needs a 3 volt minimum to trigger.  Turned up the power supply to 6 volts and the output on pin 2 is still not enough but almost reaches the 3 volt minimum.  If I put 5 volts on the electronic relay it will trigger and turn on so I know it's not the relay.  Is there anyway to increase the output voltage on a breakout board?  Maybe placing two outputs together?  Any comments or suggestions would be a great help at this point.

I can not get the driver to install in the mach 3 demo mode.  Is this normal?  Do you need a license to test your machine?
