General Mach Discussion / Mach Driver and Port Address
« on: April 15, 2019, 06:13:03 PM »
So finally got a paralell port card to work in Win 10, It shows up in ports on device manager, but cant find the port address that goes in Mach, also when I run driver test it says "No Driver Sensed" . Where can I get the driver? I tried rerunning the install, but it doesnt show what it is installing.

Thx for any help

No lights on the bob, but I can see the seven on the diagnostic tab on Mach. They dont blink when I send a command and the machine doesnt move. I have tried manually sending a command and running an NC. The steppers do not turn manually when powered up. This is all leading me to think there is some software missing somewhere thats not allowing the computer to talk to the machine. Going to check into that next, also going to look into if there is some thing in CMOS that might not be allowing it.

Yes the card is being seen, and listed in com ports. The machine will click sound when I boot up, but I can't do anything through Mach.

Ok installed 32bit, still cant operate Mach. Changed the card position on the MB, IRQ set on 0x00000011 (17) it was on 0x0000002E (46) in other slot. Card is WCH PCI Express parallel card. I tried it on LPT1 and 2. The change setting is grayed out so cant manually change anything. Need help getting this to work.

Got a new computer with MSI motherboard No onboard DB25 port.Installed PCIe card. I cant change the setting for the card in properties, checked the BIOS to see if there was any setting for activating a port. Did I just spend a bunch of money for nothing?

Ran another test today, the rewind works, I hit start and it gave me the save as box with 56k lines. But I think as someone said ram might be part of the problem. Im running a P4, w/ 4g ram. Might be time to get something with more performance. Thanks guys for the help.

So I dont get, why is it not letting me save the file if it is over 20k lines, when I hit the start, it just starts the machine. If its under 20k lines, it opens the save as window and asks for a file name. There has to be something wrong in software.
