General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach 3 Pause In Running code

Glad it worked :)

I've certainly not got all the answers - still learning and unfortunately have no experience the ESS at all, without knowing exactly how the THC works on the ESS its hard to say but it does seem as it changing the Z zero ref which is very odd.

When you did the go to zero, the torch went 0.1 through the sheet but did the DRO show zero or -0.1 etc???

Before upgrading, do the research to see if your current equipment is setup to run at its optimal condition - things like PSU voltage, drive voltage, acceleration and speed settings etc.

Might save some cash :)

Ports and pins - spindle setup
set all spin up and down delays to zero, also check on "immediate off"

might be that

No need, just go into "config - spindle pulleys" and set the max rpm to say 34000 and that will stop the message.

Good points Kolias, but we need to ascertain if its the pulley settings not matching the machine or the code is posted wrong first, maybe the code is perfect but Mach3 is not set right etc :)

Your code is calling for more speed than your spindle is set for.

Could be a code error or setup error, does the speed set in "motor pulleys" match your spindle capability?

Where do you get your 135v from??

If it is from "the book" forget it - do some straight line cut tests with z up/down turned off and note the voltage which gives you the correct height, this is then your voltage for that material at that speed and at that current.

Thats what i'm running and the same screen too.

Is the pc dedicated and cleaned out - no antivirus, network, wifi, music playing, screen savers, power saving, anything at all????

What version are you running?

I think V062 or older maybe 028 is recommended.

I guess this could be done with the M6 Start/End macros they could control an output depending on what tool has been called.
