Not as far as i can see, the motor will only have red/black as its a permanent magnet motor. Perhaps rcaffin could sketch out his plan with the dump resistors as its a good idea, BTW the value of the resistors controls how hard the motor comes to a stop but best not to go too low as it can work the motor brushes/commutator a bit hard ;)

Just tried the BMP2CNC and it does look pretty good, fast, easy and spits out readable code.

Might be worth putting on the purchase list, thanks

I'm not sure this is a Mach3 issue?

Sounds more like the motor and/or controller gave up the ghost and died, is it under warranty??

See if you have odd settings in Homing &  Limits setup, also check the calibration settings in motor tuning.

Only a little thing.

Maybe face the racks downward.  It is such a dirty process.

Very dirty, get the racks upside-down and also cover the linear rails somehow, the crap get everywhere but luckily falls downwards instead of floating about so simple covers over the top of motion work well.

that looks useful, say its limited to 150 lines though, cheap to buy though if it works.

To get the downdraught to work you need air - LOTS of air, my little 4x4 uses 3000cfm and could do with a little more, thats a 12" axial fan on a short duct venting outside, I have to keep the door or window open for replenish air.

It needs a large plenum below the table to funnel the flow into the fan/s mine is an inverted pyramid but i think a square box would probably work. The fan needs metal blades as it will be dealing with sparks etc.

I nearly pissed myself when i read that ebay listing - perfect chinglish :)

My apologies to Sterling for following him around the forum but his diagram reminds me of Steel Nick’s excellent foam cutter design.

You just need to replace the hot-wire with a horizontal axis ??

Tweakie.

Thats the one - exactly what i was trying to describe, just beef it up a bit and replace wire with beam/scanner :)

Yes, i was presuming OP was using the analogue drive from treadmill.

If using the treadmill drive then I would make it so power was off before switching motor direction so relay one would be spindle off/on and relay two would reverse the motor wires. Simple bit of logic somewhere to ensure fwd/rev cannot change until on/off is off would be all that is needed, I very much doubt the treadmill drive would survive if running and the motor wires were reversed ;)
