You can assign oem codes to the buttons, jog with the joysticks, open file, start, stop, pause.
You can find info here:

You could use the x-box wireless controller plugin or if you only need digital inputs, you could use a transmitter/receiver for a garage door or alarm system.

I think the easiest way will be to use a modbus temperature controller

Show"N"Tell ( Your Machines) / Re: My CNC pressbrake build

Very interesting build.

Is it a down stroking machine? I have done them with PLC controls and it gets quite tricky to synchronize Y1 and Y2 in real time. It will also be interesting to see how you handle the tooling and program libraries in Mach.

If you do not want to use Mach, you need to understand how to interface with a parallel port.

Anyway - Why do you want to capture the data from the touch screen?? You can use a program like copycat where you jog around and capture the points in g-code format, then you can convert it to DXF if you need to work with the drawing in CAD.

Modbus / Re: Not Recommended: factorymation.com - Teco SG2-20VR-D PLC
« on: October 16, 2009, 01:54:46 AM »
I use the Delta PLC, the price is really good- under $100 US, Protocol 57600,8,1,N . Set the PLC to RTU mode. PLC Default is usually ascii.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 and a tube bender

I would put 1 in count per unit for the encoder in ports and pins, as Mach does not know when the encoder has done 1 revolution, 1 unit will equal 1 degree with a 360ppr encoder.
