General Mach Discussion / Can I test auto tool zero by
« on: December 09, 2013, 01:46:19 PM »
Hello; I was told, since I don't have any more input pins available, I could connect my auto tool zero plate "in parallel" with the A axis. As a test, shouldn't I be able to take the wires leading to my input limit switch (on A axis), then attach them to my alligator clips/ assign ports and pins correctly - and it should then work (providing I have the correct script). Is this correct? Thanks

Hi; I am attempting to get my zero touch plate going. I do have a 5V on my BOB available, but no input pins available in my ports/pins mach3. I have X Y Z and A (which is a separate stepper on 'Y' axis) Then with the last Input pin used by the E-stop; five allowable, right? Is there any way to open a pin with no added BOB? I've searched and searched for this answer. Seems someone would ask the same question. Maybe I'm not using the right key words..! Thanks
