Thanks for all the info, I've also noticed that it's taped too, so I guess this must be tool bend, it was a 6mm end mill cutting alloy, at 4mm stages, I guess I should add a finish cut with .5mm wall?

I did a test job on the weekend and found that the holes were .2mm undersized, could this be backlash?? whats the best way to measure for backlash??

Tangent Corner / How would you clamp this?

I want to make this part on my milling machine, (photo attached) when I have machined the first side and cut it from the plate I will need to turn it over to mill the recess on the other side, and also the radius. How would you hold a job like this while machining the second op?

  Just thought I’d write a post for anyone who is thinking of using mach3, either on a new machine build or retro fitting it to an old machine. I converted my Bridgeport interact mill with very little knowledge to mach3. The mach3 software is very obvious to use, and the backup support from this forum is the icing on the cake. Keep up the good work!!

I'm looking to auto set my tool heights.

Which plugin or macro do you guys use to auto zero your tool lengths, or should I say which one is best documented for a newbie to understand?

Thanks for the help guys. I've now resolved this problem. It was a problem with solidcam setting. I increased the resolution and all is perfect now

Yes it's just a circle I created in solidWorks,, then extruded it 10mm. I also think this must be a PP issue.

I'm far from a gcode expert, but am I correct in thinking there should not be the G1 codes listed?
