General Mach Discussion / Re: MACH 3
« on: February 16, 2019, 10:40:01 PM »
Gday,
Thanks Gerry.
I have tried reversing each axis but that does not fix it , infact it then would not line up with the limit switches.
The axis work correctly I think ie when I operate the X axis the X axis operates and the same with the Y axis.
They home correctly its just the cutout is wrong .

General Mach Discussion / MACH 3

Gday,
I have a problem in Mach3 where the machine does not cut out in the orientation as per the display.
Please find attached a diagram showing what is displayed and what is actually cut.
The circle and triangle are cut in the opposite corners not as shown in the display.

Any help would be appreciated.

Gday Craig,
Do you have a 4th axis?
If so I will download my cutting file so you can give it a go.

Gday again,
I set the Z axis the same way I set the X & Y.
I use my handheld and jog it to the correct position and in OFFSETS click the X Y Z which transfers the setting over to Work Coordinates but when I try to run a cutting file the Z axis does not move to the set position.

cheers

Gday Craig,
The problem is when I set my work coordinates and run a cutting file the Z axis does not move to where I set it . X&Y work fine.
Plus I noticed when cutting a flat file (not rotary)it doesn't cut the same orientation as it looks on Vectrics .
Thanks for your patience.

Gday Craig.
I am trying to produce a lithophane on a plastic pipe so if you think the cutting file would help I will post it.
