General Mach Discussion / Re: Cutter marking wood
« on: July 02, 2006, 02:04:36 PM »
Thanks Brian,

One of the problems is solved and I think I know what the other is, first one was not cutting smooth, that was caused by me having the CV FEEDRATE button check at + 10, as soon as I turned it off bingo smooth and faster cuts, Second is the marking on the wood, I have 12mm bars carrying my zaxis and there is a slight amount of flexing so, I think I will go and get some 18/19 mm bars and do a re-build in that area, not all the marking has gone but it is a lot better.

Kind Regards

Thanks Brian,
I downloaded the latest version two days ago will it be in that one, I will not use it until I get used to the Lcam side of things, I had a problem with Lcam the other day, on the tool path screen in Mac3 it showed anything but what I had put in, So until I am confident with Lcam I will leave the new version alone as far as my main program is concerned.

Kind Regards

General Mach Discussion / 2 axis running

Hi all,
I am a newbie and I am running Mach 3.
The problem I am having is to do with runningĀ  2 axis together, I am using the soft limits only at this time, and if I run for instance x and y together using my cursor keys and X axis reaches home first Y axis stops also and, will not start again on the first press of the button on the key pad all I get is my motors growling at me, but it will move OK on the second press of the button this happens no matter which 2 axis I run together. ???
Can anyone tell me what the problem is.

Kind Regards

Bill S
