I have my clearpath servos set to home to hard stops when they are enabled by Mach4 for the 1st time after powering them up. I like this function but of course since I have added limit switches they will triggered.

Is there a way to keep the limit switches from being enabled until AFTER the home to hard stops is complete? I know I can have the HLFB output from the servo tell Mach4 several different things so I'm thinking there might be a way to tell Mach to keep the limits disabled until the input tells Mach it is done and ready to go to work.

Every time Mach4 starts I have this in the history even though they have not been touched:

Home switch Y Home tripped!
Home switch Y Home tripped!
Home switch Z Home tripped!

And ever time I run the homing sequence I get these warnings over and over:

!!!!WARNING: A motor seems to be stuck backing off of a home switch! Check the diagnostics tab to see if the Home switch indicator is active when the switch is not!

But no motors are stuck and everything references fine.

Any ideas?

Lastly how do I chance how far the axis will back off of the home switch? My Y axis clears it but the X & Z tend to stay just enough on them to keep them triggered.

Finished Screens / Re: Mach3 2010 Screenset - Now available

I went back and re-copied all of the macros from the 2010 folder and overwrote the ones in my configuration folder and it worked. Not sure what happened but I did edit the correct file in the correct folder but maybe I didn't get all of the necessary macros copied over before. Thanks agian Ger. This screenset is just awesome.

I thought I did but I'll do it again. Thanks again Ger

Ok probably another stupid question. This is on the laser crosshair setup. My cross hair is X -4.6119 and Y 5.1975 away from the center point of my spindle. I edited the M890.mls file to reflect those numbers. When I hit the laser zero button or run the macro from my pendant nothing changes in the DRO's in either work coordinates or the machine coordinates and when I hit "go to zero" my machine doesn't go to where I had the crosshairs aligned.

What am I missing?

XOffset = -4.6119   'X offset from laser crosshair to spindle
YOffset = 5.1975   'Y offset from laser crosshair to spindle

SetOEMDRO(800,XOffset)
SetOEMDRO(801,YOffset)

Sleep(125)

Looks promising. Well there be more development so we can add macro controls?

Of course, the manual. I'm an idiot :)

I searched but maybe just didn't search right but I'm trying to figure out which macros exactly handle the simple zero, full tool-change zero and just the tool-change so I can assign them to my wireless pendant. My computer is a ways from the CNC so it would be nice to be able to hit the pendant button for each thing instead of weave my way back to the computer.

Thanks ger21. Will adding a button to the top row of buttons be an issue for your screenset?

Since my centipede controller board has the power and relays built in the physically turning on and off of the laser can definitely be handled by Mach3 and tying the on/off to something like a key but I just need to know how to do that. My machine is about 20 feet away from the computer (I'm planning on adding a camera as well to help with the walking around all my machines and save some time) but I'd rather not have to do a physical switch when the board can handle it.

If someone could tell me how to set a hot key, say for L, and tie it to Output 5 I'd be golden.
