I dont think the program generated by the wizard can get confused- there is only one line with a few parameters that control the threading. But mach3 has problems with threading and will loose place that ruins threads.

I cannot offer any good advice on fixing thread problems. Browse around this forum and you should find some help. I admit my own lathe is only about 80% good on making threads. It will go nuts for no apparent reason. I cant wait to get Mach4 threading up.

I am using Plugin V1.2,  with firmware 3.1.51 I am using the latest mach4, build 2270.

If I set the mach4 input pins to pokeys then my panel works, but if I stop mach4 and restart the settings are lost. The pokeys config setting are preserved.

Steve suggests this means pokeys is not registering the pins on init and when mach gets control it sees no registrations so deletes its settings for the input pins.

It looks like Mach4 is loosing my input settings. If I use config->mach4->Input signals  and set an input to use the pokeys device, and the right signal name, my switch works. But if I exit Mach4 and restart that setup is lost.  The pokeys config is saved.

Do I need to use poblocks with Mach4? I have a pokey56E with some switches and buttons connected. I want these to trigger functions in mach4. I believe I have the signal script set right, and have written a sig table into the screen script. But my buttons have no effect.

I used the config option in the mavh4 plugin to define the pins as digital inputs. Iused the config mach option to set the signals as pokeys input.

I must be missing something.

Nice idea, I will talk to Brian about it.

We have some greast new operations now, but it has taken a couple more months than I expected. I think all that is left before release is to complete the help docs, which I hpe to do today or tomorrow. "real soon now"

Time again for the Cabin fever Expo. Brian and several others will be there, Mach4 will be running, and Brian will do a Mach4 seminar on Saturday.

Its in York PA with lots of good places to stay and eat.

This is always a great show, lots of models to see, plenty of 'good stuff' to buy from the vendors or the auction. A semi-silent auction on Saturday always has lots of tools and models. You can sell your excess stuff in the consignment area, and take any money you get there and buy other good stuff.

I loaded the new code and now when Mach4 starts up it displays the progress bar for loading screen elements, and about half way done it hangs. There is a ghost of a message box over the progress bar, centered in the screen, so one of your messages tired to show.

Drivertest runs ok

I am going to take my PC up to Brians shop on Friday, I will get him to see whats happening.

yeah, when it hangs task manager cannot kill it, only the power switch will get it.

Ok, but that fails in the same way. I can configure the plugin, but when I go to set the motion device it hangs.

I deleted the old profiles and let loader build a new one, same result.
