Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / Re: NFS Turn Wizard

Not that I am aware of. it would be a nice addition to the NfsTurn set, maybe when I get to doing the mach4 version I will try to do it.

The license file is mailed as a .zip file. You need to unzip it then in the Help screen point to the .txt file that was in the zip

Newfangled Mill Wizard / Re: Tabs
« on: July 04, 2015, 10:16:51 PM »
No, there are no tab functions in the wizards. The next plan is to do a set specifically for routers, so I am collecting ideas now for what they should include.

In all Mach3 screens you must type the <enter> key to complete any DRO input. If you simply enter values and then click another DRO the value will return to its original number.

There are many wizards in the Mach3 install kit. Only the Newfangled Suite are supported, the rest are user contributed and unsupported.

The  unsupported wizards should run in the demo mode, they have no license code in them. The Newfangled suite will run and show you the code, but will not save the gcode when you return to mach3

I do not know anything about how this forum is managed, or what systems it runs on- I use Firefox without trouble.

The mini mill was very well received at NAMES- in fact the mill class of 12 is now filled, with 1 on the waiting list.

The CNC workshop registration is open, the early reg discount will expire on April 30.

There is still a lot of space in the two all days classes by Scott- popabear on mcLus and screen design.

Newfangled Mill Wizard / Re: Turn wizard / Linux
« on: April 24, 2015, 03:36:30 PM »
The nfs Mill package is a standalone program, not dependent on Mach4 in any way. It can connect to Mach4 and pass files, but its not needed. It was written using wxWidgets and in theory all we have to do is re-complie to get linux or Mac versions. The theory has not held up so good, but in time it will happen.

A turn wizard and a router wizard built on the same base is planned- I  think Brian wants me to start on router next.

I dont see any circular moves in that code- those lines with R values follow a modal G01 so ought to give an error. It needs a G02 or G03 in there.

Can you be more specific on which wizard you are using. I do not think the Newfangled wizards can do anything to generate that error message. Does the error come while running the wizard or while running the gcode it generates?

General Mach Discussion / CNC Workshop 2015
« on: April 11, 2015, 08:22:29 PM »
We now have the web site up and open for registration. There are more details on the classes and vendors that are planned.

The web site is http://TheCNCworkshop.com

We are trying some thing new this year with the addition of full day, in depth training classes. These will run on the Monday nad Tuesday before the main session opens on Wednesday. So far we have  two classes by Scott Schaffer( Popa Bear) on writing wizards for Mach4 and doing I/O.

There will be a build class using a High Torque Mini Mill and controls from PMDX to build a Mach4 mill. This is limited to 12 students, register soon, in past years this has filled up and had a waiting list.

We are also doing a 3D printer build class-

Make your plans now, June 15-20, near Detroit, Michigan
