You are right, I forgot to fix the preview code. One of the problems with the way VB works in Mach is that you cant share code, so the preview button is exactly the same code, without the spindle controls.

Ill fix that later today.

I dont understand the wacky comp move, maybe some mode you have set before it runs? Ill see if I can find anything, Im going to run a complete set of test cases later today.

Did you have trouble with the Inner option actually cutting OUTSIDE the line?

I have fixed the code to add F words, and I have fixed it to really do inner and outer, climb and conventional correctly-at least I think they are correct, Ive tried each option.

Attached is a zip file with these fixes. Ill leave it here a while as a test, then Ill make it the release version if there ar eno problems.

Just unzip the file in the Addons folder. You might leave it as Newfangled280, that way it wont overwrite your current version. Just be sure when you select it form the list you select the right one.

I deleted V2.80 and posted 2.81 to a new topic.

Looks like a real bug. I see it also outputs an F word on a G00 line, which is wrong.

I have another report of a problem with the cut rectangle not getting depth right, so Im going to work on both problems.

Mach assume all screens are 1024x768 including the wizards. It is supposed to scale the screens if oyuuse a different screen size, but In not sure it always works. What screen resolution do you use?

Sorry, I dont know what you mean by "there looks like there is a DRO under the depth DRO."

I will check the other issues, There have been other cases where the preview codes did not exactly match the post code. Ill see what I can find.

I dont think you can get it. The toolDescription function was added by Art at my request.

Ray,L can you post a photo of the gas springs you mounted on the knee? Id like to see exactly where you put them.

I have continued to work with my new AC servo on the knee. I have run it up and down very smoothly many times, but every once in a while it will hang and fault the motor going DOWN. I have also heard a bit of a growl, or chatter going down. I suspect I have a gib problem. I think it may be shifting slightly and acting as a wedge.

Eliminating the gears and driving the screw directly works very well. The crank shaft came out through the side in a bolt on casting, so I simply removed that and have a nice access hole into the knee. I was able to get the motor inside the knee casting. with a short belt to the screw. Mechanically it looks very neat, almost like it was designed that way.

Look under the screens topic, there is a whole topic on Flash. There is work being done on a doc for flash, but it is not ready yet.

DROs above 1000 are used by wizards so can vary depending on what screen set you have loaded.

The new Mach3 Install Doc, just posted a few days ago has the pulley info well detailed. See the Documentation tab at the top of this page

Another possibility- each wizard has a file where its own settings are saved. For the newfangled wizards its full name is C:\Mach3\Addons\Newfangled\newfangled.set.def

If this file, or any of the folders above it are Read Only you will not be able to write to it.

Did you recently restore your files from a CD? If so then any of the folders could now be set read only.
