Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / 2.83 ready
« on: March 22, 2009, 09:16:22 AM »
I fixed a couple more issues related to the new cutter comp, and a couple related to the use of tool zero and not putting the tool change info in code correctly.

As usual Ill post this here, I hope some of you try it and let me know of any errors. If no problems are found in a couple weeks Ill pass it to Brian to include in the release mach kit.

Update: I just replaced V2.83 with a very minor change.  The original still put the comment in the code that said v2.82. I wont change the v number for so minor a fix, but the code is changed as of  this edit

I do not see that problem. Could you post a short file here generated by the wizard?

I am going to put a new version, 2.83,  in a new topic.

If its not a macropump I have no idea what could cause it. The wizards have no control over which DROs can be changed- it would be a nice feature but its not possible.

The DROs for the circular pocket screen are between 1020 and 1028. Stepover is 1024depth is 1027. Something else is changing them.

Do you have a macropump running? There is only one 'set' of DRO numbers active at any time, and when the wizards are runnng they share those numbers with the macropumps.

This happens if you use tool 0. The wizards try to be clever and not do needless commands. They check to see if the last tool used is the same as the current one, if so it skips the M3 and M6 stuff.

I fixed this in most places, and have a couple more fixes in 2.83. I got stalled in testing it and have not finished. I will try to get it checked out and post it in a day or two. Most of the changes have to do with the new comp code.

Works in progress / Re: First try at a Screen

I like it. What program have you used to generate the graphics?

617
Thats a hard one to fix- there are probably 100 or more DROS, and changing them all would mess up every screen.

The program saves the same size number in all cases, so you can enter more digits than show in the DRO. I know that would be an ugly way to do it, but it should work OK. The code generated will have the full numer.

Sorry I cannot be more helpful on this one.

Yes, it will only update when you press the calculate buttons. VB has no way to know that a DRO value was changed. I re-arranged that whole screen a while ago to try to make it more obvious that you need to go through it step by step.

The % override values however actually get used on later screens, so they will be used in generating the code.

Yes, I know about that problem. Its one of the new rules for the comp code, there has to be a straight line exit from comp and that wizard did an arc. I have fixed the code and started testing it, but got sidetracked. I will finish it and get 2.83 out in the next day or two.
