Are you running a tormach version?  The powerfeed wizard has an init.m1s file in the folder under Addons\PowerFeedXY. That file has c:\mach3\ hard coded in it. That really should be a test for the program folder, not hard coded.

If you are running with the mach3.exe in a different folder edit the init.m1s file.

I will see if I can make a proper fix to that.

No, there is only one license. The wizards that check it are the newfangled suite, copycat, powerfeedxy and drillwiz. If it works with any one then its installed in the correct place, and a valid license. I cannot imagine a reason one wizard would work and another not work on the same machine.

I will look at the code for the powerfeed and see if I can find anything.

Did you buy a wizard license or a Mach license? For a wizard to run you must have both a mach liicense and a wizard license.

When you said  the "other wizard works" did you mean the Newfangled Suite?

Sounds like the license file is somehow corrupted. Send an email to Scott at sales@newfangledsolutions.com and ask for a new copy. He will need the name and email it was originally purchased under.

Ok, that is a license problem. WizLic.dat is the correct file name. It must be in the same folder as the mach3.exe file.

If it is and still wont work then all I can guess is that somehow the license file has been corrupted in copying. If you can go back to the original e-mail and try saving it again. Watch for that windows 'feature' of not showing the file extension- sometimes that causes you to add an extension and the file becomes WizLic.dat.dat

If that doesnt fix it send ane-mail to support@machsupport.com and request a new license file. They will need the exact name and e-mail you used to buy the file.

There has been discussion about doing a build class, or building one machine to raffle. It seems that everyone likes the raffle from the survey sheets I collected last year.

A final decision has not been made yet, but it must be made real soon to get the word out in time. It is clear that some kind of CNC event will happen, and that Mach will be represented with at least an exhibit and several running machines.

Remember it will be in April this year.

Ok, I have fixed this problem. If Zstart is other than Zero the wizard will generate code that is correct, but assumes you have already removed the material from Z zero to Zstart.

As always, the new version is a zip file attached to the first entry in this topic.

Ok, I see the problem, I will work on it.

I am a bit unsure how to handle it however. If I start all the cuts at Z=0, and you previously made the small cylinder then I will be re-cutting. But if I just  start at Zstart, -1, then Im going to crash into the stock between Z0 and Z-1.

Thats a problem when each operation is independent.

Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / Re: Write Wizard - Having some trouble

The Write wizard is not part of the Newfangled set. It was written and submitted by a mach user.

If you look in some of the general topics you will see lots of discussion about Write. I believe there are two true statements. 1) write does really work, 2) Everyone has a big problem using it.

The good news is that the new version of the newfangled wizards, which is now about done and ready to ship, does have a write function that is easy to use and works well.  I have posted a couple youtube videos showing how the new wizards work, but I have not detailed the engrave function yet. It will probably be in the next video, maybe in a day or two. See the topic inthis section for discussion of the V4 wizards.
