They be saved automatically, and should be there whenever you open the program. If they are not getting saved it may be because your %APPDATA% folder has somehow been set to Read Only, sometimes done by backup software or when copying from a CD.

That is usually C:\Users\{username}\Appdata\Roaming\NfsMill The tooltable, fonts, and .ini files are all there, as well as Materials.txt

The xml  has been the source of some very strange problems in the past. I guess thats why Mach4, and the NFSmill wizard use ini files instead of xml.

I think I already fixed that in the version Im working on now, but I will check. I am getting close to anew version that is going to have polygons and polylines, including full pocketing. Its very nice, but I have a couple interface issues we dont like to fix. Maybe out in a week or two.

Well, it makes no sense to me, but I am glad you fond it. Unless you made a background color that somehow obscured the tool window. Did you try opening the Material window in the first NFS screen? That uses the same VB code, just with different data.

Ok, thanks for the detailed description, now I understand the sequence. I do not understand how this is happening. When a wizard is loaded it is exactly like loading a new screen set. The old set- 2010 in this case- goes away and the wizard set is loaded in its place.

You say "That pop-open window does not work on the 2010 screen set. " What do you mean? Does the window open Ok? Does it fail to use your selection? Is it not filled with the tool data?

How about the Material window in the first screen, does that open and work with 2010? I am asking because that window works exactly the same inside the program, it just has different data in it.

I am not sure I understand what tool table drop down you are referring to. Can you show me a screen shot of the tool table open with the wizards?

Rarely does re-installing Mach or the wizards improve anything- if you have some strange condition it is probably saved in the ini file and will still be there, unless of course you build a whole new ini.

It runs on my system, but then I have all the development stuff loaded there as well. I guess i will have to build a full install kit. I will post that when I can.

ok, I think its fixed. Attached to this reply is a zip file, unzip it, leave the .exe on the desktop is ok, and run it,.

This file also has the new Polygon and Polyline options

Edit: I removed the file, it will not work for anyone until I get my dev system fixed.  We are hot on the new feature of polylines and I think in a week or two it will be released, at least as a test version.

I did some testing of the import function, but only with a short test file I made. Please post one of your Excel files here and I will test it. It should import any list of X,Y values.
