the LUA API is in your Mach4 documents and its current.

One of the exciting, on the one hand and offputing on the other, things with an entirely new piece of software that inevitably the developments
exceed the documentation. Get used to it.

Artsoft is a very small company with a very modest income stream. It is simply not possible for such an organisation to devote the man hours
necessary to document all the changes and developments....unless they insist that their customers, that's you and me, pay bigtime, maybe $2000
straight up AND an annual subscription! I don't want them to do that!

As it turns out the link I posted is right next to your post, started within the last few days, its not hidden. Did you do any searching or reading before
you posted? The forum IS the manual.

Hi,
you don't need a driver, its USB and the driver is provided by the OS. You DO need a plugin.

I don't know whats going on, sounds like you were on the right track.

One thing is for certain is that the UC100 is not Chinese, its Hungarian. I think you got stung. How much
did you pay if thats not a rude question?. The genuine article is about$120US.

as I said, I suspect the script which is actually running is in  LUAExapmles folder, you'll need Explorer to
find it.

Hi,
you will not be able to run a parallel port with Windows 10. It may be that while you have attempted to load the
driver it has failed and you may have to use the control panel to dig it out.

You will need something like the UC100 to run your machine. I understand that there are any number of UC100
knock-offs on Ebay currently. Best to buy from the manufacturer or their nominated distributor. Apparently the
knock-offs don't work with the genuine CNCDrive plugin.

Wow I had to bump my settings from 400 steps to around 9000 steps....Thats Crazy ! ! !...wonder what happened

Could it be because of different units?

Hi,
what exactly have you named your toolchange macro? Mach interprets all macros as lowercase m,
as a consequence Mach may not be running your macro at all but another.

I've seen that message, its included in a manual toolchange macro. You can see it in Mach4Hobby/LuaExamples/Toolchange..
I'm guessing thats where the messagebox is coming from but why is it running?

Hi,
of course have you considered an external motion controller, a UC100 is probably about cheapest at $120 but
there are others like a Smoothstepper for $190. Then you can use just about any PC (32 or 64 bit) you like with much reduced
risk that other software and screen redraws mess things up, the motion is smoother and max pulse rates much
increased for servos and high resolution encoders.

Hi,
DriverTest.exe tests the parallel port, in fact the parallel port is a poor choice of name...the DB25 plug
is a parallel port whereas the 'parallel port' referred to by Mach users most importantly includes the code for
the PCs CPU to produce pulse streams for the  motors.

Two possibilities here
1) Machs pulse engine, also known as parallel port driver, is not working
2) The PCI card you are using is not working.

There are quite a few PCI cards which might be fine with a printer but don't work with Mach, the requirements
of the port for Mach to work are quite specific and date back to the earliest specification. A lot of more modern
cards do not follow the original spec.

Can you idenitfy the IC on the card?. The most respected and 'known to work' IC comes from Moschip.
