Hi,
the reboot is required and its not actually at the end. Re-read the Installation Manual. You'll now have to dig the corrupt driver out manually.

Hi,
does your machine have an ATC? Tool Length settings make sense and are required for ATC but if you are manually fitting tools then you need to touch off
at each tool change anyway,

have you read the Mach3 Install Manual? In particular:

2.1.3 The Vital Reboot
You must reboot Windows before running Mach3. This reboot is vital. If you do not do it, you will get
into great difficulties which can only be overcome by using the Windows Control Panel to uninstall the
driver manually. So please reboot now.

a couple of days ago you were asking about a Chinese USB board, now your talking about a parallel port?

Which one are you trying to get to go?. You cant have both running at the same time.

I'm going to guess that the toolpath is being drawn but at such a small scale that you can't see it. I've had it happen
occasionally. Try holding the RH mouse button and scan up/down to increase the magnification.

Hi,

G43/G44 – Tool Length Offset: Activates a tool length offset selected with H. When activated the position DROs will be updated to display the position of the program point of the tool, generally the tip. The tool offset can be applied in the positive direction with G43 or in the negative direction with G44. Generally G43 will be used to apply the tool offset. There are a number of ways of touching off a tool and determining the offset value, see tool offsets in the operation manual for more details, but they are all called and applied the same way.
Format: G43 H__ X__ Y__ Z__
If axis positions are specified in the same block as G43 the machine will move to the commanded point. If the axes are omitted there will be no motion.

Hi,
I think it has to do with this line:

N15 G43 Z0.925 H4

The H4 is applying tool length compensation. Try removing the 'H4' and see how it works.

I am ready to blow a gasket as I bought this machine cause the old manual version of it has been flawless for 15 years.

That is common if you are just setting out with CNC, get used to it. I live in New Zealand, about 8000 nautical miles from you and I cant hear you shouting, YET!
When I can I'll know that you are really struggling.

How about asking for a detailed wiring diagram? You might remind them that they sold this machine and if it doesn't work as they advertised it would that you'll take them to court and
get your money back. That usually makes them sit up an start to take the problem seriously.

Can you open the covers and take some pics of the G540 and in particular the parallel input cord that goes back to...where...is it another board or direct to the PC. What is the PC?
Is it a parallel port output or what?

the only thing I can think of is that the Z axis is not fast enough.

If I understand correctly the G32 move is a linear co-ordinated move between the spindle an the Z axis. If you specify a thread of 1.75mm pitch for example, and the
spindle is rotating at 500 rpm then the Z axis must travel at 875mm/min. Could it be that the Z axis can't go fast enough do to the motor speed limit or some fault
of either Mach4 or the plugin? According to the Mach Lathe Gcode Manual the feed rate override is ignored when G32 is in operation. Lets say for arguments sake that
it is in fact enacted and the Z axis can only travel 500mm/min with an effective thread pitch of 1mm.
