LazyCam (Beta) / lazy cam turn arc
« on: February 23, 2008, 09:49:53 PM »
Lazy cam turn has always put in G3 instead of G2.  So far I have always just done a find replace.
I'm not whether its a switch that i have set wrong or just the way it thinks.
I'm wonderiing if I was to change it to rear post would that fix it.
Mine is a front post.

any ideas.

Mach3 and G-Rex / Re: G100 crashing?

Does the G100 ever do anything but crash.   I read these threads and really have to wonder.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Lathe Threading With Backlash
« on: August 07, 2007, 09:33:21 PM »
Backlash doesn't get applied until the X axis move is completed, then after a time period has elapsed(Shuttle accel default 1 second) then the backlash is applied.
so editing G76 won't help.  G32 would need a small move of x(.0001)prior to the start of the camfer, then the timer would start(shuttle accel would have to be small 0.0001 sec) then the x move for the taper.

LazyCam (Beta) / Re: works in 2.0, goes nuts in 2.02
« on: August 06, 2007, 03:15:09 PM »
i brought the drawing into  my cad prgram and then resaved it, if i was guessing which i am the drawing header contains all the rotate and mirrors that was used.  Lazycam sees these and put them into the drawing during the import, resaving clears the header.  I did find another problem with lazycam though When it trys to make the slots lazycam won't make the radius with anything larger than a .105 bit(now idea where to find such a bit just the largest value that i could get to work).  This is a lazycam bug it should be able to make the slot with any bit with a radius smaller than the radius of arc which is .125.

Darc the way your question was worded makes me wonder if your getting the offset canceled at the end of the code.

That's crazy looks like it remembered all the drawings mirrors and rotates, anyway resaved it and used 0.05 connection tolerance and its now usable.

You can go past x then back to apply the backlash prior to the entry move.  However this will have pressure on the wrong side of your x screw as you enter the part.  Which will increase the part radius by the amount of the backlash.

Your probaly already using a G0 to retract but if not add that.

Probably already been posted but on the autocycle page the tool change and coolant leds need to be 806 and 13.

Thanks for some great looking screens i have stared on the 1024 for to long.
