Once you have a working system, if you view it as business critical, you shouldn't be exposing it to internet connectivity or updates which don't address specific issues you want fixed, you can still have LAN connectivity whilst excluding internet connectivity ;-)

I understand that there are any number of UC100
knock-offs on Ebay currently. Best to buy from the manufacturer or their nominated distributor. Apparently the
knock-offs don't work with the genuine CNCDrive plugin.

Hi,
should continue and give you the solution....plug your VFD into a different 230V outlet to that of your computer or other power supplies.

There are 'line reactors' which are made for VFDs to limit conducted noise. In industrial situations large VFDs can 'pollute' an electrical supply
and the supply company will be after you with sharp knives! A hobbyist is unlikely to draw that sort of attention but its entirely possible to
locally pollute you own power supply and the supply company are going to say 'serves you bloody right!'.

Try in the first instance separating the VFD and PC supplies. If it is effective then you may need to consider some sort of filtering setup.

Good advice Craig, I confirmed a VFD noise problem last year when the problem went away if I used an extension lead to the far end of the shop to power the VFD.

I include an accurate model of my stock in CAM, this allows me to set zero based on my stock edges and know that my job fits comfortably within,

If you explain what you want to achieve through tracing your material boundary there's a chance someone might have a solution.

A mechanic once walked up to me in the body shop and asked to borrow a screwdriver, when I asked what kind and he said it didn't matter.
I explained that it did matter as the right screwdriver avoids tool and fastener damage and wear, he replied that he simply wanted to lever a rocker cover off a cylinder head and the type of screwdriver didn't matter.
I closed the screwdriver drawer in my Snap-On roll cab, opened the pry-bar and lever drawer and offered him the right tool for the job.

Rather than asking for the tool you think you want it is often better to explain what you want to achieve as even if the tool you think you want doesn't exist someone may have a solution to your problem,

Did your Mach3 come with your machine purchase or did you buy it from Newfangled Solutions? Lots of bundled versions can be a bit flaky if they've been tweaked for specific hardware in China.
Long debounce settings are to solve problems with E-stop and limit switches triggering spuriously, when this causes a stop you can see it'a an E-stop or limit switch from the on screen messages, are you getting a message to do with a switch triggering and causing your stop but didn't mention that?
If you look through posts referring to the recommended version of Mach3 to run it's almost never the final version, the new team was adding new issues as fast as solving old ones at the end of "development"

Mach 3 doesn't do that generally so it's likely to be something to do with your system,  when asking questions about problems which don't impact most people and are thus unlikely to be caused by Mach3 you should really specify the versions of Mach3 and Windows you are running, whether the machine is isolated from internet and other network connections, what AV you have installed, what other software you have installed, how you are connecting to your machine etc.
