Flash Screens / Re: Mach3 Flash OEM .fla: "Mach Nation 11-20.fla"

I am gonna "Stump" a little here for Jason: He has put, 1000's of hours into the development of Flash for Mach over the past 2.5 years.

I just got into it and I think it's mandatory that the base package from him for 30$ is being bought. Just thinking about the cool stuff which can be unleashed with FlashCS4 and Mach3 gives me goose bumps. Besides that, Jason is on the ball 24/7 as it seems. Today is Sunday and I bought the Pack1 of his really cool contents and within minutes I got a message from him personally getting me all set up with it....
Cheers to Jason and his flashy crew!!!

I'm sorry.... yes..... WinXP, latest Mach3 dev, AND Smooth Stepper.

It's all Warp9's fault.....  ;D

This is not a critical bug, rather an annoying detail. Nevertheless I think it should be eliminated.
I use a VFD to control the spindle speed. The VFD is controlled using a 0-10V voltage. This voltage is generated using the spindle setup in Mach3.
The voltage is directly proportional to the frequency of the spindle output (step signal).
A direction signal is not necessary as most of the spindles cannot run reverse.
If I neglect to define a direction signal, I will be annoyed by a window every single time I start Mach3.
It should be possible to define the output without a direction port definition.
Cheers

I have the following running

F600
G1 x blablablablablablabla lot's of more G1 blabla

Now I hit feed hold. Screetch. Stop!
Now I hit start cycle. And.... crawl crawl crawl. As I mentioned with a rediculous low speed.

No way to get away from the crawl. I'll try that again and look at the feed speed indicator when it happens. I mean I am sure I did, but can't swear what it reported right now.

I'll post that later.

After pressing 'feed hold' and then resuming the operation with cycle start the original feed rate had been forgotten and the system crawls with like an inch per minute.

With the inability to accelerate past 100% with the smooth stepper this is really a problem.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Hotkey's List ???

Thanks! Tab... dohhhh. Did not find that. Maybe a quick ref card should be put together with the basic tricks.
When I'm a bit more in control I shall make one.
Thanks!

General Mach Discussion / Hotkey's List ???
« on: February 02, 2008, 11:17:17 AM »
Hi all

I am looking for a list of all the alt and ctrl key combo's build into mach3. Recently I am fumbling on the keyboard resulting in anything from scary to comical results as Mach3 does 'something' I did not expect. I also reached a really nice and cool jog screen, which I could not reach again as the keycode is eluding me.

I took a look at the documentation and that doe snot contain a full list, but the instructions on how to set a code up if you choose to do so.

A little help in locating the master list would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers and a great weekend!

Got the cnc4pc top of the line board and am happy with it and it's good support. The best is that the e-stop switches all ports off, regardless what the PC is having as seizures. Nice to have while changing the tool on a 'hot' spindle....

Tangent Corner / Happy New Year!!!
« on: January 02, 2008, 08:28:37 AM »
Happy New Year all!

My plan is to take over the world this year.....

What are the plans of the Mach team in 2008?

Is Quantum dead?
Will there be progress on the GRex plugin or is everybody playing with the new and shiny Smooth Stepper Plugin exclusively?
Will there be solutions for the curve/corner/constant velocity issues (Like a precission addition for the Gcommand as EMC does it...).

Ahhhh the curiosity...

Tangent Corner / Re: Which Plasma Torch
« on: January 02, 2008, 08:23:42 AM »
I'm still liking it a lot. There must have been a defect right when I got it the first time which prevented the internal fan to run. It only started to run when all was fried...
Now it's my little tool for ALL and ANY cutting... I made a little stand with some alignment jigs and that allows me together with my mig welder and a hand full of magnetic brackets to play 'sheet metal shop' without having a break or shear. Zip Zip... weld weld... little if any grind... prime/paint.... box is done. A lot of fun. I needed a bracket for my Bridgeport which I bought a couple of weeks ago. Now... that took about 15 minutes including cutting the large holes for the cables. Plasma cutting is like using a star wars laser sword... Nothing is safe....
