Very nice build! Certainly one to be proud of. Big fan of the hammered finish! You just don't see it much anymore. What a shame, it adds allot of glitz and flash to looks. Thank you for sharing with us!Hi Sam, I think you may have hit the nail on the head, you always tend to find something to alter or up grade!Quoteit is nearly completedInteresting term, this "completed" word you use. I've seen it before describing a machine build, but it's always used with other words such as "nearly" or "almost". If you ever get there, clue us all in, we would love to actually see one. Personally I think it's a myth like the chupacabra or bigfoot.
Greetings Naijin,Thanks Russ, as soon as it operational with the big spindle I am hoping to start a few projects, and will post them.
That is a very professional looking build ! I especially like the low profile, rigidity and wide footprint of the gantry.
This should contribute to fine, stable performance.
You are to be commended and should be proud of your accomplishments.
Great work,
Russ
WOW, that is a very impressive build you have there cnc dick !
Very well deserving of it's own thread in the Show and Tell forum.
I'll split this post accordingly, feel free to post more details and hopefully, some cool projects produced by this fine piece of workmanship.
Regards,
Russ
Very cool build, may I ask what spindle you're running in there? Looks like and ER style collet setup?Hi Dave, the spindle is a 12 volt dc and has an 11ER collet set up, very cheap on e-bay $69.00AU from China, runs real good but only good for small carving jobs with timber plastics etc but a bit underpowerd and slow for Aluminium.
Thanks for sharing,
Dave
