« on: February 28, 2016, 08:58:16 PM »
Hi there, I have just installed the UC100 motion controller and I am having issues with homing switches and probe inputs, I understand the version.062 is more stable and works with UC 100, I am currently using the latest version of Mach3 downloaded just last week, I could not find version .062, my question is how do I obtain version .062 or where do I down load it from?

General Mach Discussion / Shielded Cable
« on: October 15, 2015, 08:03:31 PM »
Hi there, just a quick question regarding using shielded cable for homing switches, Do you connect  the outside shield (braided covering) to anything or just let it float, I am using a two core shielded cable.

General Mach Discussion / Mach 3 misbehaving
« on: May 06, 2015, 03:22:23 AM »

Hi there, until yesterday the program was running fine, just the odd limit switch error now and then, I have not used the program for about a month when I turned it on an error code came up saying an error has occurred and that the setting in ports and pins needed to be reset etc. once done it started to work, but I had to home all the axis, some of the axis were reversed, so I corrected them, them the z axis when doing the manual touch off in screen 2010 instead of coming down ,touching the touch pad and going back again, it was going the up instead of down, I corrected it, but my short cut keys were working in the opposite direction, so I fixed that problem, homed all the axis again and set up a small cutting job, set the x and y axis to the job center and zeroed them to the job but it wanted to start in the opposite direction e.g. it should start in the top right hand corner, it would try and start at the bottom right hand corner etc. I have an idea that the whole thing is  POSSESSED  or some thing, if there is any one out there who may be able to shed some light on the subject or perform exorcism please jump right in, any help will be greatly appreciated.

General Mach Discussion / Driver gone crazy
« on: February 02, 2015, 07:04:47 PM »
Hi there, my cnc router was running fine until about two weeks ago, the Y axis started to miss steps and does not change directions sometimes, the other times it would work fine, I have swapped the motors and it seems to be with the one driver, the drivers are 2M542 Leadshine drivers, I had them for about two years and never had any problems with them until now, is there anyone out there using the same drivers, and if they have similar problems or know of a way to fix it I would be more than happy to hear from you, or anyone else who may have some suggestions please feel free to jump in.

General Mach Discussion / LIMIT SWITCHES vs SPINDLE
« on: May 05, 2014, 12:30:09 AM »
Hi there, seems like it is a never ending story, you get one thing sorted out and another one appears:::: Al limit switches work just fine, watch dogs is disabled in config..general config, touch plates are working fine etc, BUT when the spindle is turned on a message appears  "limit switch is triggered" there is no indication of which switch in the diagnostic screen or anything that is triggered, when the spindle is turned off...reset is pressed all is O.K. again until the spindle is activated again, anyone wwith any ideas or clues please feel free to drop me a line.. starting to get a bit frustrated (heaps of projects on the drawing boards to try....IF ONLY!!!)
