General Mach Discussion / Re: Mach3 et SMC800
« on: May 20, 2007, 08:46:37 AM »
Hi Philippe

I do not understand the language but if you mean the SMC800 board from CONRAD, i dont think it will work with Mach3 because it has its own interpreter of step and direction signals and therefore it needs special software.
I myself has the SMC1500 with an extention board on it to make it listen to normal step and direction signals.

General Mach Discussion / nasty mach3 problem
« on: May 19, 2007, 12:47:48 PM »
Hi Art

Here i have a very nasty problem.
I made a file (aouterprofile6.tap) in Lazycam.
When i load this file in Mach3 and regen than i get a toolpath as in turn fout.jpg (watch the green zigzag line in the center of the screen)
When i zoom in and then move around Mach3 shuts down with no warning or whatsoever.
Also when i run the file (no machine attatched) Mach3 suddenly shuts down on no special point.
If i load first an other file and after that this file everything looks okay.
If i load this file on an other computer i get a toolpath as in fout2.jpg and everything works okay.
So i can not reproduce this error on another computer although it happend ones before on a other computer.
I can easely get arround this error but i think you like to know.

Will try again tomorrow.

All your other posts have been deleted. The rules clearly state one entry per person. The first answer given by an entrant will be the only entry.Benny

Sorry i did not read the rules good.
So hereby my only and the only good answer 2.997.874 (did not count the broken chips)

Thanks Brian

Sound promising, looking forward to this.
I think maybe you are right about more people use mill but watch until they find out that a latche is also a nice machine to play with.

Hi Chip

With the origin i have the same problem as you do, in version 04 i can move the origin without errors but there is no tekst with it.
I have noticed this to Art and it seemes the tekst is the difficulty , he sould turn it on again and see whats happend.
I think he did and so it seemes the trouble is back again.

LazyCam (Beta) / Re: Here is the new GUI :) Lcam rev ->The Next One

Looks very nice.

Is it possible to add dimension lines in the screen (where 0 is the origin) and in the left under corner the (X,Y,Z for mill and X,Z for turn) directionmarks (something like in autocad)?
