Hi chip

I hope that the team of programmers can do someting with all this information , for me it is all abacadabra (dutch for i have no clue).
But despite of some annoying things these programs are very usefull for me and i learn every day a bit more of cnc milling and turning.

Hi Mark

I think you are quite right about the different computers , I run against different problems that act different on different computers.

Chip
Do you mean that your files all in plasma mode make an error ?
I used a file of mine (the same from tread no toolpath (beer.dxf)) (that you helpt with)  and that load fine in plasma mode so that is also making a point that the inside of a computer is crusial.

General Mach Discussion / Re: nasty mach3 problem

Hi Chip

I had this on version 2.0.065 but also on a previously version.
The funny thing is that different computers give a different result.
The topview (fout2.jpg) you mentioned (with the funny curls) did occur on a pentium 3 xp system.
The same file on a pentium 4 xp system or a amd athlon xp gives a normal view.
But you say you could not reproduce the topview (fout2.jpg) but other view (turn fout.jpg) , did you repoduce thatone?
As far i can see it is totaly unpredictable where and when it occurs.
This is one of those things way i never never never would be a programmer and thats why i have a deep respect for people ho can handle this problems.

Hi chip

Thanks, the front or rear view in Mach is no problem and in lazycam i can deal with it (mirror the project in my drawprogram) but it would be nice (and lazy for me) if in Lazycam the stock would be on the upper side.
But as you already point out , there is a lot yummy yummy to come so maybe thats on the menu also.

Hi All

Another little thing , am i right if i say that the drawing i make always is for a rear toolpost ???
As you can se on the screenshots the material cuts out above the shape and i want it to be under the shape.

Hi Chip

Found what you meant , i increased the max penetration and that gives a better result.
Thanks for helping.
If Brian is watching , on the most right side the path is not correct , it cuts a bit of the shape (bleu line).
My fault ???

Thanks for the great help guys

Hi Chip

Thanks for your reaction
Have you attempt to load this file?
If you did i bet you did not see the thinks that the screenshots shown.
I think (if i look to the green zigzag line) that a sort of loop is created between the bits and bytes in the computer.
If i change a X value on line n25 for instance everything is ok.
I just loaded the same file here on this computer and here all is absolute ok so shoot me.
