General Mach Discussion / Re: ATC using stepper motor on A axis
« on: February 01, 2008, 01:21:08 PM »
I am new to VB and using scripts but I figured out  a lot about it. I have  a lathe with a tool changer that I am retrofitting . It has a 6 position too changer with a pawl lock set up.
I d/led the Toolchanger Pawl lock macro and copied it to my macro folder in mach3 turn.
I opened it using the VB editor and entered the values for the variables and saved it
I then edited the lathethread.tap file editing the M6 to read M6 T5
When I run thetool path the file runs to the M6 line then requests that I press cycle start. When I do that the file ends and rewinds to the first line of the script
Can I email you my saved copy so you can see it? If so what is your email address.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Motor ratings for dyna 3000 lathe
« on: January 17, 2008, 10:27:07 AM »
My Z axis motor is marked showing 2.3 for series and 4.6A for parallel. The X axis is 3A as I recall. The turret motor should be marked right on the motor. Mine shows 1.2A
Have you retrofitted you machien to run off Mach3?

NC Pod / Re: what version of Mach3 do I need

Assuming that you have the step and direction lines correct I would guess that you don't have the +5 from the NCpod board connected to the all thecommon terminals of the G320's

Galil / Re: which Galil bds work with Mach?
« on: April 16, 2007, 03:34:48 PM »
Brian I acquired a Galil 1842 PCI card and the interconnect breakout board. But it came with no instructions. I want it to work with mach3. So I know I need the Galil plugin for mach3. So I take it that I will need the driver for the board from Galil and then after the board is installed let windows locate the board and the driver. Is that all there is to it?
