General Mach Discussion / Re: Drive Enabling
« on: January 24, 2008, 06:11:57 AM »
I'm trying the similar type of thing but I was hoping to have it slightly different.
I'll explain shall I............................
I've currently got a "DRIVE ENABLE" & "DRIVE DISABLE" button on my screen directly below the "ESTOP"
I'm attemting to have it so as when the software is started you cannot enable the ESTOP without the drives being enabled, which in theory is easy because I'm using a Chargepump.
So therefore I need to press the DRIVE ENABLE button before the ESTOP, but as you know with the ESTOP active all outputs are disabled.
Is there a way for me to be able to use an OUTPUT even when the ESTOP is activated (so as I can enable the drives first)?
I would rather have it so as when the ESTOP is pressed it doesn't disable the drives.
Thanks BTW sorry to hijack your thread SimonD.

Mach Screens / Can I force Mach to save the fixture settings if.......
« on: November 21, 2007, 10:59:17 PM »
If I created a button, and in the code for this button it runs OEM code 122 (Fixture Table save), then EXITS the program?
Is it possible and how can I set it to EXIT and automatically click YES at the End Session prompt?
Thanks.

BTW, I've also noticed that sometimes it doesn't ask to save the fixture settings, even though the coords have been changed.
The only way I've worked out to get around this is the enter the EXACT same value back into a DRO (same as what it was), I think
this forces the DRO to think it has been changed, even though it hasn't.
So when I exit the program, it prompt me to save the fixture.

Mach Screens / Re: Tool Path Window for A and B axis ?
« on: November 21, 2007, 10:16:17 PM »
The standard format will work with 4 axis, you need to turn on A axis in the toolpath settings.
But as far as I know B & C axis are not displayed.

Thanks Hood, I'll give that a go.

Brains Development / Check to see if multiple LED's are enabled. Hmmmmmmm
« on: October 31, 2007, 12:32:55 AM »
How can I set it to check if multiple LED's are enabled.
If they are on, then turn on or off another LED.
This pic is what I've tried, but to no avail.

Thanks Drew, it works great, I've attached the home LED so you can use it if you like.

I concur the top button is best, I've also been making buttons using the same pic but a different colour for different states.
I'm having trouble after I set an PNG LED then set an image button with no picture, so in theory it's a transparent button, but after overlaying it with the LED the LED doesn't show up correctly.
I tried to diagnose the problem by moving the transparent button half way off the LED. You can see what happens.
BTW I'm using Screen 4.

Thanks Graham, I was wondering if it was a bit of a hard one.
Oh well....
