General Mach Discussion / Re: lost steps/ motor stall with tripple beast
« on: January 20, 2020, 02:11:30 AM »
hello, i think your Problem is the power supply, just deconnect your 4th axis (Motor) and try again.

Hallo, ich denke das Problem liegt an dem Netzteil, einfach mal die 4te Achse abklemmen (Motor) und dann noch mal probieren.

Ok, so if I move my Z all the way up, there is no change in the diagnostic screen

so check your Limit Switch für z-axis

Yes, as the Z moves up, the numbers increase positive

thant is ok

In diagnostic screen, if I press z (picture yellow circle) it moves down

then Change Config -> Homing/Limits -> z-axis -> Home Neg.

orange/black is the com of all Switches, and for switching Inputs at a parallel port they Need to be taken to gnd.

 this is only the led, we will take care later

and as ZASTo sayed

GND from outside source and GND of your Parallel port should be connected pin 18-25

so lets do some tests

if you Trigger the z-axis home Switch can you see it changing in diagnostic Screen?
in Manual mode if you press page up button z-axis goes upwards and z-axis dro is going to plus?
if you are in diagnostic Screen, what is Happening if you press the Ref Z button?

@ tps.. so are you saying I should rewire my whole pendant to match the example you posted ?? The wire color does not matter as long as I know what colors go where and they all match up according to the example in reply #10
for the Moment i am not able to follow you, how the pedant is wired on the PP port side??!

1070
according to the example from my link wiring would be:

yellow -> Pin 3
yellow/black -> Pin 4
Brown -> Pin 5
Brown/black -> Pin 6

gray -> Pin 7
gray/black -> Pin 8
orange -> Pin 9

orange/black -> Pin 25

green -> Pin 13
White -> Pin 15
red -> Pin 10
black - Pin 24

the you can use all Settings from example
