I'm trying,(most of today) but I'm getting nowhere fast it seems...information overload I guess....I need to assign a HotKey (the character H, would be my # choice) to the Ref All Home command...can anybody please give me a detailed account of how to go about this?....ultimately, I'll map that character to my IPAC inputs & momentarily close the switch, so to speak, with a relay output from the PLC.....I'd really appreciate any info & thnks much in advance...George P.

HELP!
somewhere exists a chart of all the mouse pointer inputs (Mach commands) and the keystrokes I need to use to simulate those inputs...but I can't find it.
Probably the simplest of which is "ALT-R" for "start" & "tab" gets me the jog screen....
I need to tie the "Ref All Home" command into my PLC control circuit (and the IPAC) to prevent further crashes.
many thanks in advance for your help.....George P.

What is the fastest way to cut a thru hole in a sheet of material where the cutter simply follows the toolpath, stops @ a point, travels down (z-) another .002", again cuts that same toolpath, stops, again feeds down another couple of thousandths, travels the toolpath, etc, etc, finally stoping @ a preset Z- point?

thanks for the quick reply Brian...I just now learned all 64 bit system chips are not equal...seems the Intel version is ok for 32 or 64 & the AMD is only to be used with 64....I'm going to try it anyway, I'll let everyone know what's up as soon as I do...gpdc

Is the error increment exactly the same each run thru of your testing program?
Is the end point shy of the start point or "ahead" of the start point?
Is the motor/lead screw coupler (whatever you have slipping?
just a couple thoughts for you....gpdc

just a thought.....with so many guys hanging around here that are already where you need to be RIGHT NOW, can you just sub this order out to a responsible party and in doing so, you buy yourself some time to get a system s/u for yourself...? and NO, I'm not applying for a job, but I'll bet somebody in here could help you....gpdc
