Mach Screens / Re: Layered Objects in Screen4
« on: July 14, 2006, 02:44:50 AM »
Paul,

I feel your pain :)

I'm afraid my honest answer is that I really didn't understand how screen designer handled some of the graphic layers at times.

During the time Beano and myself did the screensets I found that sometimes things didn't look correct or ended up with blank areas etc.

I did find a work around however which may help you out.

Select the graphic or label etc that is causing the problem. Click copy. and then paste.

For some reason this corrected the problems I had. It re-pasted itself back so it was visible again.

Good luck.

Art,

Many thanks. I appreciate the offer.

I'm afraid my search for the code has been in vain. A zillion screensavers but not example code that I can find.

If you wouldnt mind hunting it out some time I would be grateful.

Thanks

:)

After some time away It's great to see movements on the screenset front.

Art, seeing our names in the About box in Mach makes it all worthwhile ! Thanks very much.

(On a seperate note, is the code for that About box available on the net or is it something you wrote. It's impressive. I'm on the hunt for something similar)

Thanks again.....

The sun's out in the UK at the moment so not much p.c activity !

Nice and clean layout Hood.

Ideal for a touch screen....

Great stuff !

Dave,

Good to hear your thrashing things out with the Turn Screens....

It appears that your correct. The X axis Jog buttons are not working. On further checking I cannot see why they should be any different to the supplied Turn screenset.

We use OEM codes 307 & 308. which is what the original set uses. (But also doesn't seem to work as I see no change in DRO's)

Can you do us a favour and check the original set to see if the X axis works on that. It may be a call into ART.

The positions of X & Y could be changed although we presumed this was a standard (as the supplied layout uses this method)

I'll bribe Beano into creating a one off for you once we get the X axis sorted....

Cheers

I'm afraid the orignal MachBlue Turn screenset was missing the updated MPG screen.

The main installer file has been updated to include the new MPG screen.

(You will need to re-download the installer again)

Sorry about that.... Totally amateurs with the Lathe stuff.

Screenshot attached......

Any bugs or errors please shout up.....

A quicky.....

Beano survived his 'Suicide' shift but is sounding real strange on MSN........

So the Main installer file has been updated to inlclude the new MPG screen.

(You will need to re-download the installer again)

Oh Oh.....

Dave, I'm afraid our lack of knowledge with the Turn module is now clearly obvious !

We totally forgot about the MPG flyout screen. Well totally forgot it existed :)

Beano is working a 'suicide' shift this weekend (Sounds Nasty !) so I doubt if we will get the MPG screen completed but we will ASAP.

If you see any other weirdo's just shout. The Toolpath rendering is a strange one.

Thanks.

Logged in, Synced up and ready for action.....

Well after more testing it seems like there is some strange rendering of the toolpath at times but from what we see it is common to the original supplied set and the silver blue set.

There's not a lot we can do on this apart from bring it to Art's attention. It's probably wiser for someone who knows the Turn module better to explain the problem.

While doing the testing Beano noticed that I had missed the skins on the DRO's for the Diagnostics and Toolpath screens. So...

The setup installer file has been updated to correct this on the InsomniaX download page if you want to re-download and get the fixed version.

Cheers...
