Thanks for the help. :)

I tried tweaking all the settings, I have to set the velocity to 10 ipm to get it to travel the correct distance. When it is moving the axis mach pulses the motors about 1 second on and 1/4 second off, Is that normal?

I have tried just about every setting for the Accel from 1 to 20 donsn't help.
I have also tried tweaking the uS pulse with no help.
I tried changing the kernel speed to all the settings also no change.
When I jog the axis with hotkeys I can run the velocity up to 75 IPM without any problems.

Could this be a PC issue?
The driver test looks good, But I have it on a 1.5 GHZ laptop for now. (I have a desktop ordered)
Thanks

I will try tweaking these settings again, Just making sure it wasn't locked out by the demo version.
Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Axis movement limited to 1"? Demo Version??
« on: April 09, 2007, 09:41:17 AM »
Hello,
I have downloaded the demo version and I am getting my mill all setup.
If I go the the MDI screen and inout G0 X.75 everything is fine, But if I go over an inch my motors start doing weird things and dont travel much more than an inch. Is this a limitation of the demo version?
Also if I jog the axis with the hot keys everything is fine.
Thanks

They do look good, They handle another 10V than the geckos.
I e-mailed them for a price.
Thanks

Yeah that could be, they are wired in parrell I could probably rewire them to series and this would give more resistance.
I think the drive thinks it is shorted. Are there any other drives out there that can handle more power?
Thanks

They just stop working, I have to cycle power to get them to work again.
I thought I read somewhere that they some kind of diagnostics. They also have a reset term that I think would probably reset them without having to cycle power.
Any ideas as what might cause this?
Thanks

Hello,
Is there anyone else with this combo that can help me out on IPM and Accel for these motors.
I am retrofiting a series II BP mill, My gecko's keep faulting and I have no idea what these motors should sound like.
Thanks
