Mach4 General Discussion / Re: problem with probe action
« on: November 08, 2017, 10:39:11 AM »
Ok my problem seems for be fixed I received a reply from Tech Support for a change to the "Probe feed rate" and a change to the Lua file from Mike Abbott.
 https://www.pmdx.com/PMDX-Forums/index.php?topic=356.0
Also I was using a wire touch for the testing the probe test and I found I was to fast with the touch.  If I held the contact for a short time longer is would work correctly.
Many thanks to Bryanna for quick replies to my questions.

Mach4 General Discussion / problem with probe action
« on: November 07, 2017, 06:59:29 PM »
I am a new installer of Mach 4 on a router table, my progress stopped at the touch module function.
When I click on the find Z tool surface Z moves down and the probe trips and nothing else happens. >:(
The probe indicator shows when the probe make contact and not when it is not in contact so that is correct.
I expect the Z to retract and set the Z DRO to 0.0 this does not happen. :o
I am running a PMDX-416 USB board and that is the only plug in I have enabled and Mach 4 is build 3284
Hope there is help from someone here.
Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Re: Strage Z Touch Plate Problem

HI
I have seem a similar thing but I did not have it hooked to my table.  I don't know if you were using lazycam to set up the routine but I do know that it Will assign a value of 60 for the "Z" axis I would stop it after a short time so I cannot say if it would got to 12. on the DRO.  Look in the g-code to see what value the command for the "Z" return is.
have fun

General Mach Discussion / Plasma drive problem
« on: April 11, 2012, 04:50:25 AM »
Starting to tune my table and I ran into an odd thing.  I was setting up motor speed and other things and all was fine in mach 3 mill.  I though I should do the same in mach 3 plasma I checked the pins for motor control and set the same speed values in motor control and then turned on jog to check.  Well the X buttons moved the Z motor and Y motor was fine but Z buttons did nothing ( not able to move anything but the dro displayed movement).  I just moved from mill to plasma software and nothing else was changed.
All motor pins are the same in both software settings.

I am using ver 2.58.  have you seen this or heard of it???

Thanks

Tom
