General Mach Discussion / Nodes
« on: April 04, 2012, 04:19:39 PM »
Hey all,
When I bring art in (from illustrator and others), there seems to be way to many nodes. I have used Vectric and Lazycam and get the same results. I cut very simple shapes and do not undertand why there are so many nodes? It creates tons of gcode.
Thoughts and thanks,
Jeff

« on: April 01, 2012, 01:15:09 PM »
Hey all,
I know it's Sunday so i would appriciate any and all help. I will be posting a few HELPs so many thanks to all. I have a DIY (moving table) and having a display issue. In the 'simulate program run, I can see the tool path, however in the display, I cannot see the tool moving around the tool path. How do I see this tool?
Thanks,

Jeff

G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Circles in my Mach
« on: March 13, 2012, 05:32:51 PM »
Hello,
I am using Vectric and have Mach 2/3 arc txt* set as the post processor. When I upload an image into Mach, I am getting cirles (purple). The toolpath wants wants to follow these circles. It is not showing up on the Vectric (CAM). Once again as many before, thank you.

G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / Vectric and Mach
« on: March 09, 2012, 08:23:44 PM »
Hello,

I seem to be having a problem with my radii. I create in adobe illustrator and then send the file to Vectric 2D. When I do this this the radii come out in a more straightline, geometric shape.
I am using only three nodes to make this arc, should not the vetric or mach pick up this radius?  Maybe better said is this "The conversion from Vetric to mach3 is different. The curves have faceted edges where the vector lines do not.  In mach, is there a way to smooth curves? "

Many thanks,
Farmerjeff
