I have a new version of mach but the screen is fuzzy so I can't read many of the codes and what they are for. Hope this helps clarify.

I am unable to read about half of the g code functions on my computer screen. Does anyone have a clear copy they would mind sharing?

General Mach Discussion / Instruction manual download?
« on: April 07, 2012, 08:54:24 AM »
I am trying to learn how to use Mach3 for the first time using a wood router and have NO experience with cnc. Is there a step by step instruction manual I can download? Looking for the very basic things like how to zero the machine to the part. I had someone help me get the part from Cut3D into Mach3, but now we are both stumped. Any help would be appreciated.

I found a screen that showed what the different G codes stand for but it was to fuzzy to make out many of them.

General Mach Discussion / Re: File loaded from Cut3D, now what?

Thanks. Swamped is a understatement. I knew cnc equipment could help me but after 3 months and still not being able to get started, I hired a guy to to do the cut3D part. Now trying to figure Mach3 out is very frustrating as I feel so close but......

I will be checking out the info you sent.

Thanks again

General Mach Discussion / File loaded from Cut3D, now what?

Ok, I am a newbie. Not really sure what I am doing. I bought a cnc wood router with cut3D and Mach3 loaded on it. I have the file from cut3D loaded and am now stumped on how to proceed with zeroing and such. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Are there tutorials showing these things that I can watch to avoid bugging you for things that I could/should have seen? I might not have found the right ones but I have not seen what I am stumped on.

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Newbi question
« on: February 22, 2012, 11:10:40 AM »
Hi. I am brand new and getting confused. My brother-in-law who has some machine shop cnc experience (but not with Mach3) is going to help me this wkend, so I could use some help to make sure he is able to help. Here is what I have. I draw the object in Moi, then transfer it to cut3D and then on to Mach3.
When he gets here, he wants me to make sure I have the instructions on how to manually change the settings in Mach3 to make adjustments to the cut path. Any help to a newbi would be appreciated. I will be using this for cutting wood objects.
